I haven't told work that I am pregnant yet. I should soon, though. I am kind of dreading it even though I think it should go ok. How did you feel?

I ws nervous, only because I was the third in our group of 4 in the last two years. My boss just laughed and said well geez what is in the water, so that helped lighten the mood.

I was terrified. I knew everyone would be super happy for me, but it would put the small company in a staffing bind when I left. It ended up being ok, but there were some akward/frustrating conversations at times.

Very nervous. I waited until after the 20 week anatomy scan. I had no reason to be though, they were very excited for me.

I was nervous only because I was hoping to keep it a secret for a bit longer but people were whispering about and I was afraid the news would get to him before I had a chance to speak to him in person.

I was super nervous too cause I wasn't sure how they would take it. Thankfully they were ok about it. But I was still really nervous!

I was because I was only working part them to begin with. Turns out they had a big restructuring so they let go all the consultants. Then they asked me to continue with some additional work because they were short staffed and I am still doing work for them.

My immediate team is pretty small and I think everyone generally knew that we were trying...
I wasn't nervous, but I did wait until 13 weeks to tell my boss formally. Then told the team after. Told my work BFF at like 8 wks though.

I was excited! My boss is a good friend of mine and she is sooooooo happy for me. I work for a large global company so while I will certainly be missed they have enough people to spread out my work and cover me for my 12 week maternity leave.

I just told my boss this week. I was nervous only because I'm in consulting and travel frequently. I had to tell him that I was expecting twins and my OB won't let me fly past 24 weeks (October 20). This would impact our staffing so I needed to tell him sooner than later. It was fine and he was excited and happy for us.

I was excited to tell my boss because I knew he would be excited too. He knew we had been trying for several months. I told him at 4 weeks and he kept it a secret until I was ready to tell the rest of the office at 12 weeks.

I was pretty nervous. My boss isn't very family friendly but she was surprisingly happy for me and had no problem with it.

A little nervous and excited because I was tired of hiding it. They knew about my previous loss, so it wasn't a surprise. A lot of people already suspected.

TERRIFIED. I had nightmares for weeks about telling. I was a contractor and did quite rigorous field work in sometimes remote areas. My boss is single, with no kids, and old enough to be my father. He knows NOTHING about pregnant women or babies, and I was sure he would pull me off field work immediately. I hid my pregnancy quite well, even living with my co-workers (luckily I had no morning sickness), and had to even LIE to them (my colleague and I were watching tv one night and I teared up at a diaper commercial. Try explaining THAT to a 23 year old boy...).
When I finally did tell, my boss actually hugged me (I was stunned) and actually got really excited. He was, and continues to be, incredibly unrealistic about what new mothers are capable of, but overall, it went well.

I waited until I was 17 weeks to tell my boss...I was already showing at that point, but not hugely. I was pretty nervous, but my boss "had a feeling" something was up and said he was really happy for me.
I wasn't at all worried about what they'd do during my 7 months of maternity leave. They had more than enough time to spread the work out, which of course, they didn't do, lol.

I haven't told my boss yet, but I'm sooooooo nervous. I work on a team of about 15 people and I'm the ONLY girl. I'm nervous about how going on maternity leave will affect my position or if the men will be understanding when I'm out for 12 weeks! I'm dreading telling them but will probably do so around 14/15 weeks I think.

I was terrified! I'd only been at my job about 7 months when I found out.
I have a guy's guy boss - who is not well versed on womens issues. Luckily we're a big company with HR department and policies in place.
The discussion (at 13 weeks) went better than expected. He seemed genuinely happy for me and said we'd figure out the coverage together.
I feel like expectations are really high though. At 24 weeks, these 8+ hr days are killing me! but I dont want to seem weak by leaving early.
Only 68 more working days left!

I haven't told yet but I am not nervous. She tells me all the time I need to have a baby. I might get moved to a new department, so I haven't met my new boss if I do get moved. That is going to be awkward, hi nice to meet you,by the way I am pregnant.

I was a little nervous but I don't know why. I work for a very family-friendly company and my boss just had her second son in December and they're both in the office during the day with nannies. I told my boss at around 6 weeks because I had some early bleeding and knew I'd have more doctors' appointments than usual. I'm glad I told her, and she was great. I told the whole office at 12 weeks, and everybody has been awesome.
