There were four kids in my family growing up, and it felt like too many! Too much conflict and politics, and years later only some of us are close. It was a big reason why I wanted fewer kids - we ended up with two.

My brother and I (3 years age difference) were always at each other's throats from age 3 to 13.... so... I always wanted someone else! Now we get along great, but I still wish our family was bigger. I especially would love to have a sister.

There were 4 kids in my family too and it definitely felt crowded/busy all the time. I'm pretty close with all my siblings but my sisters are definitely closer to each other than I am to them and then my only brother does kind of his own thing. We're hoping for 2 kids (I have 1 now), originally I wanted 3, never 4, but I hate all that comes with TTC so we're stopping after the next one.

4 was too many growing up! I always thought my parents would have been better off if they stopped at 3....and I'm the 4th! There was a lot of conflict, a lot of competing for parents attention and just complete chaos most days with 4 girls. I won't have 4 for that reason. Stopping at 3!
Even today, there's still conflict between my sisters. Our relationships are strained

My brother and I are 3 years apart and very close. Happy with just him. Liked being a family of 4. We were planning on 2 kids but were blessed with 3

There were 4 of us, all girls , and I loved it. We are so close today and I feel lucky to have 3 built in best friends, especially as the introvert that I am 
I feel slightly guilty that we are stopping at 2 because I loved growing up in a big family so much.

My little brother is 5 years younger than me - I can remember being so excited when my parents told me I was going to be a big sister. I've always loved him to bits, but I definitely had moments where I wished I were an only child. 
Never wished for more siblings!

Four kids, I loved it! Built in playmates, and we are all close even as we get older and move away. I wouldn't change it!

I never really thought about it growing up. After my brother was born I never asked my parents for another sibling or anything like that (pretty sure I never asked for my brother either ). We lived in a 3-bedroom house with only 1 bathroom so I'm glad I didn't have to share a room with a sibling.

I am the third of five kids and I loved being in a big family. Sure there were fights and claiming we didn't get enough attention, but I think that was more teenage drama than an actual issue. We are very close now too, especially the sisters (poor brother is the odd man out). I can remember trying to convince my mom to have another baby, then when she said she was too old, trying to convince her to adopt more. I guess we really liked babies.
I will say as the middle child, I definitely did fall in a weird gap, like my brother and sister with in college, little sisters were still in elementary, and I was the only one in high school. But whatever my sisters are still my best friends!
