We were both pretty wild kids, we both partied and drank, and I smoked. Our because beacuse I went through it all I will be able to relate and recognize their emotions like my parents did with me. My parents knew they coudln't keep me from partying, so they made sure I was responsible about it.

We were both "wild" kids in that we smoked, drank, and partied in high school. But we both respected our parents, did well in school, both participated in a ton of extracurriculars, and came home on time, so it evened out.

I was a pretty good kid, but a little mischievous and sometimes mouthy. I often got in trouble for being the class clown. On the other hand, I didn't drink, have sex or party in high school and was pretty manageable, behavior-wise.

My husband, on the other hand, was a very sweet and bright kid. And while he was never really wild, he definitely started drinking and had sex at an earlier age than I did. So... I guess we're kind of even?

I was such a goody two shoes, lol. Didn't drink or have sex until college, got good grades, and was the president of just about every club in my high school. My hubby was also a pretty good kid by most standards, although he did drink and smoke some starting in high school. I say all the time that I hope our kids are as good as I was, haha!

I was a very good daughter.. never went out, got good grades..

I was a good kid (but that's bc my parents were strict as crap!!), but my hubby did crazy stuff, but was respectful to his parents.

I was. I really was.

I never stole anything, never drank once, never tried drugs, never tried a cigarette, didn't date until I was 18, never snuck out of the house, never went to parties... I got good grades, I started taking college classes in my sophomore year of high school.

My parents were so lucky. Haha!!!

I was an exceptionally good kid. I was super obedient and quiet, and I was super shy as a child. Then I hit puberty and high school and everything changed. I still never smoked or drank or went out or had sex, and I got decent grades, but my parents were super sheltering and controlling and once high school hit, I just didn't want to be controlled by them anymore. They couldn't understand because I had followed all their orders without question before. It was a bit rough going until my parents and I finally hit a good point well after I got married.

Wagon Sr. was a good kid as well, very obedient and sensitive to his mom at all times, but he and his brother fought a lot and they got punished a lot. They're only 15 months apart so they caused a lot of trouble together! In general Wagon Sr. was kind of a goody-goody (president of the Honor Society and voted Mr. Congeniality in high school!) BUT he did drink and smoke, early and often.

I was a very well behaved child, but turned bad as a teenager and rebelled against my parents. DH was the opposite - he was a very wild and badly behaved child but turned into a sweet respectful teenager.

It completely reflected how we were raised, my parents used fear and punishment as a main parenting tactic which worked until I was old enough to fight back while DH's parents were sweet and encouraging to him which backfired in childhood but worked really well in his teenage years when he matured a little and was able to appreciate that kind of support and stop taking advantage of it.

I was a good little kid, but once I became a teenager, I'd fight A LOT with my parents. Relatively speaking though, I was still a good teenager...got good grades, drank and smoke only a handful of times, didn't get in trouble in school, rarely lied to my parents. DH was a rambunctious little kid, but as a teenager he was squeaky clean.

I was a great kid after my first two years - I was hyper sensitive to EVERYTHING (still am, but I've adapted), so I screamed unless I was near my mom, in a dark room (I quieted down during news shows due to the low pitched voices.) Naturally obedient, eager to please, but independent. Wasn't a social butterfly, but I got along well enough with others.

DH was hell-spawn until he was 7, at which point he decided that Mom had good reasons for her rules. He was a biter, he sprinted away from his parents in public places if they were not somehow holding him, he got his 2 year old brother out of a five foot fence at age 4 and got at least two blocks away in the time it took to change his sister's diaper, he got himself stuck up trees in the backyard, he chewed through those child leashes... Basically, if there was a way he could get into trouble, he was in it.

As teenagers, we were both hard-working, self-motivated, high achievers who just wouldn't give our parents grief. I stayed out late once in college (started at 16 - see previous sentence), helping with make-up on a student film - I didn't have a curfew, but that was the most trouble I was ever in. We didn't smoke, drink, or date, paid for our own luxuries, and took care of chores/animals/siblings without much/any supervision.

I was a goody goody and he was mischievous!
