No...I was motivated by fear. My parents were so strict that I was so scared. As an adult I'm decently self-motivated in that I go for the gold in the things I really want.

I was so disciplined and self motivated when I was younger.
Not so much college and beyond though

I was, especially in high school.

I was very self-motivated. My parents never had to tell me to do my homework or even help me. I just did it and I did it the right way the first time. It has really made things hard for my brother. He is not self-motivated at all. My parents were so used to me doing my work without them, they are a little lost when it comes to helping him. He won't ask for help and he won't just do it without being told.
