I remember cooking ramen noodles around the 6th grade. That was about the extent of my cooking for a while because I mostly used the microwave! I loooooved tv dinners.
When did you start using the stove by yourself?

Really young. Probably around age 6. My sister and I made the worst scrambled eggs in the history of scrambled eggs.

I don't really remember. I was more of a baker when I was younger, my mom did all the cooking. Probably in middle school.

Hm. I was in grade 2 - age 7? Especially in the summers when my parents were working, my brother and I had to get dinner started (for my mom to finish when she got home) - my mom would leave instructions.

I don't remember probably 6th grade or so. My mom always cooked in the morning, so we always had something to eat when we got home from school.

I helped my mother cook starting from when I was about 5...but I probably used the stove myself from about age 7/8.

I think I was 10. That was around the age my mom left me home alone while she went to work.

around 10 years old. I was baking then too. My mom even sent me to cake decorating class at 10. I was the only kid among a bunch of old ladies

I guess I started pretty old, then. We always went the grandma's house after school, so we never even had a chance to cook for ourselves until we were deemed old enough to stay home alone. I would say somewhere around 12-13. Even then, we only really made ramen or scrambled eggs and it wasn't very often. I figured out how to cook things pretty well in the microwave and loved tv dinners, too.

Age 4, I would cook whole (simple) meals alone. Hot cereal on the stove, pancakes, I even baked casseroles.

My mom was a single mother for a number of years, so my sister and I learned fairly young. I was probably around 6 or so when I learned the basics like scrambled eggs, steaming veggies, and boiling pasta. My sister and I could cook a full dinner by the time I was 8 or so (she was 11).
