I can't wear heels, ballet flats are too cold in the winter, my Toms just stink and boots cause my back to hurt while pregnant!! What shoes do I wear with skinny jeans? I feel like bozo the clown wearing converse or sneakers with skinnies so there aren't many options.
Any suggestions?

I have the same issue! I was just telling DH that my feet are so cold in flats but other shoes just don't look right with skinnies.
What about really low heeled or flat ankle boots? I've tried those a few times and while they don't really go with everything in my closet it's nice to have my entire foot covered up. Target has some really cute ones right now.

@hilsy85: those are super cute. I don't know if I can pull them off though! I just feel in a rut with shoes lately. But I'm keeping my eye out for flat booties. Nordstrom has only had wedge boots but they're too hard to wear while pregnant and carrying DD around.

I totally wear my converse or chic sneaker type shoes! I have a pair of canvas shoes from fossil that I wear with skinnies.

@sandy: I don't have a picture of me wearing them, but this is pretty much how they look...I love them!!! I think the trick is to make sure that the shaft of the boot is wider than your calf to give it that slouchy look.

@HLK208: and they'll keep your feet warm...it won't get hot for a long time so you could wear them til June probably! I've been seeing them everywhere and they look super cute

I have the same problem. I actually have a good pair of winter boots that are decent looking and comfortable, but they are heavy snow boots so I only wear them when it's really winter (which is like, half the year in New England). I wanted a pair of Ugg type casual, not super heavy duty snow boots but warmer than flats, boots, but I can't find any I really like.

@HLK208: oh you could TOTALLY pull them off! Honestlly they're like the easiest boots to style because they're so casual. Skinny jeans, a slightly slouchy shirt/sweater, and voila!

@HLK208: I'm in a total shoe rut too...and I wear 4.5 so it's hard to find shoes that fit and are comfy and look somewhat cute with my mom uniform. I was looking at these Steve Madden short boots...but maybe they are too "nature girl?" I need help too

I know you said no boots, but I have a pair of Merrell boots that I love that are so comfy. The sole is rubber and it feels like walking in sneakers. I bought them a couple seasons ago but I think this is the current version:

That being said, when I was pregnant back in the fall, my calves swelled and these didn't fit at that point. But I have wider calves than most people.

This winter I've been wearing mostly either my minnetonka mocs or keen sierra boots (flat sole...dreamy comfy).
