We always get LO books for holiday's/her birthday and we are planning on getting her some for Christmas. She has quite a few but I don't think you can have too many books 
What are some must have board books? We do get her regular books too but she's not as nice with those yet. I would love some suggestions!

for some reason, O is obsessed with a random board book that I received as a gift while pregnant - "You Are My Little Cupcake"...she makes me read it over, and over, and over, and over..I have it memorized!!
and flap or touch and feel are a huge hit around here too.

the matthew van fleet books have been a huge hit with both kids, particularly tails.
very hungry caterpillar - they like to stick their fingers in the holes.
mr brown can moo is just fun to read!

Furry friends & First 100 words are favorites in our house. The first 100 words comes in an over sized version that's really nice.

My favorite aside from the Boynton books is "The Very Cranky Bear." LO loves it when we make cranky bear roaring noises while we read it to her and the illustrations are entertaining. Part of my criteria for board books is that they don't drive me crazy after the billionth reading and this one still amuses me.

@sorrycharlie: P loves the ladybug one, too. Grammy reads it to her a lot.
We love the bright baby books (they ALWAYS have them at TJ Maxx). She has the colors one and although she ripped a page out of it and tore it in half (hulk baby), so still reads it all the time. It taught her a few words, but we haven't gotten into the actual colors part of it. She also LOVES "Hippos Go Berserk" and her favorite bedtime book is "Love is a Handful of Honey"...That one was a random gift from Grandma.

second vote for the Little Blue Truck books (we have one board-style and one regular-style). they have been favorites for a long time. also Boynton's Barnyard Dance is a favorite.

@Bao: my son loves the Llama Llama books, but he is infatuated with Baby Einsteins Touch and Feel Baby Animals. He rubs the textures and "talks" to the animals.

LO is only 4 months old but I love reading him On the Night You Were Born, and it has some interactive phrases I envision him loving when he's older.

Virtually all the books we read daily and are within LO's reach are board books. Books with paper pages have all been put out of reach and will be read later in her life.
A lot of our go to favorites have already been listed... Little blue truck, brown bear, llama llama, On the night you were born, five little monkeys, Good Night Moon, Guess How Much I love you, Karen Katz books, Frosty the snowman.

We have many of the ones already mentioned but Harold and the Purple Crayon is another good one.
