I dread clipping those tiny nails and picking her up after a bath...I'm still afraid I'll drop her!

I hate sucking out her nose. One because she hates it and always cries, and also because I hate snot/boogers. And she has some grown kid boogs! Yuck.

@jennylynn: Yes! I use the Snot Sucker and always have to take deep breaths afterwards because I feel like I'm going to puke. As long as she's in a good mood LO actually likes it, I think because she can suddenly breathe better.

I hate cleaning the snot sucker...... Sometimes I strategize doing it while DH is cleaning up after dinner so I just hand it to him to handle while I've got the babes.

How do you know when LO needs the snot sucker? She always sounds congested in the nose and I probably should use it but I'm afraid to!

@regberadaisy: I use the bulb syringe after every bath! I save the snot snucker for days when he's super congested. Since we use the bulb syringe after every bath, he's super used to it now. He doesn't even flinch!
I hate clipping his toe nails cause he HATES it and fights me on it every time. urrrgh.....

@banana: how long have you been doing that? I'm so afraid that I'll suck her brains out! I know it's silly!!

@regberadaisy: For as long as I can remember, actually. If he's not congested, we just do one quick suck to get rid of the some of the boogies that are just near the nostril opening. The main reason we started doing this was because he hated having boogies in his nose and he would constantly be picking his nose! He ended up getting 2 bloody noses in one week and the ped recommended we suck them out right after bath so that he would stop picking. He hasn't been picking as much (if at all) now.
It IS scary to do it at first, but you get used to it. I tried it on myself once with a spare syringe and I could barely feel it. Try it on yourself first if you're scared! My Ped said I was being too shy with it at first and said I had to do it harder. She told me not to be shy with it and that it doesn't hurt the baby. It's much more mild than blowing your own nose.

I have no issue with those things. I have an issue with something grosser. I actually love cutting his little nails when he is asleep because I love looking at how tiny he is!
I hate when he poops so much it goes to his balls--it grosses me out to wipe them.
