@tina: Is it a secret recipe? I love nachos!
I made overnight French toast casserole for breakfast today and making chili verde tonight. I also have some left over homemade sloppy joes from last night so I'm not sure how much cooking I'll have to do this weekend.

Not sure what we'll be making. Will be keeping a tab on this thread for ideas. We'll probably make some buffalo wings for sunday though.
We made this a couple weeks ago and have been craving it since (long cooking time, but super easy to make):

Chicken noodle soup. Lame huh? LOL Craving it! Its to "go to" when I am sick. Just comfort food. Such a crapy week and super sick on top of it. Weekend of relaxing and some nummy soup.

@Boogs: It is NOT a secret recipe! It is super easy! All you need are (I'm including the brands I use):
Tostitos
Hormel chili (you can choose with or without beans), 2 cans per big bag of chips
Shredded cheddar cheese
Refried beans (optional)
Cold toppings (listed below)
Spread the chips on a cookie sheet and sprinkle chili, then cheese all over and add gobs of refried beans if you want. Put in an oven at 350 F until cheese is bubbly and chili is heated through. Take out, top with gobs of salsa, sour cream, guacamole, sliced black olives, sliced jalapenos and enjoy!!

Tonight I'm baking some chicken, steaming broccoli, and making some other sides. I'm not sure what yet. Sunday will be take out and I have no clue for Saturday.

@tina: Yum sounds easy and delish, maybe I should make some Sunday even if we aren't watching the Super Bowl!
@Andrea: I wish I could post a photo! It's this http://www.tablespoon.com/mobile/recipes/overnight-french-toast-recipe/2/ I also toss in some blueberries before I pour the egg mixture. This last one I made was with little bites of bread leftover from a party dip and it was just as good. You could also top with fresh berries if you prefer. Let me know how you like it if you try it!
@MH.Abroad: Yum! You make me want to go to the local falafel drive-in nearby!

Saturday, we're going to brunch at a friend's house. I'm taking a soy cheese quiche and a fruit salad.
Sunday, we're having a few people over for the Super Bowl. I'm making buffalo bites, guacamole and stuffed jalapeno peppers.

Tonight we are going out to eat with the in laws to let them know we are pregnant.
Saturday: leftover homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner. We are going to most likely be snowed in (huge storm coming through) so some yummy comfort food.
Sunday: leftovers for lunch & then Chili and dips/snacks for dinner. Love Game day food Can't wait!!!

@Boogs: It's so funny, I used to make it all the time in college since it's pretty cheap, always a crowd-pleaser and all you need is an oven. People I barely knew would come to me weeks later, asking me for the recipe, saying they tried to recreate it using ground beef and taco seasoning, etc. and how gross it came out. You should have seen their faces when I said it was Hormel canned chili!!!

@chopsuey119: My in-laws are in town next weekend! I'm already freaking about what to cook...
I'm making pork chops and carrots for dinner tonight. On Sunday I'm bringing football shaped & decorated brownies (Pinterest find!) to a Superbowl party. We'll probably eat out the rest of the time... In fact, I may save the pork chops for tomorrow and go out tonight!

The only thing I have planned ahead is to make "Crack Bread"! It's a recipe I found on pinterest. My friend tried it and she said it's awesome. I'm pretty stoked about it. I always make hot wings, but DH doesn't do spicy.

Tortellini alfredo with roasted red peppers and basil - open a package, two jars, chop the peppers a little, toss it all in, sprinkle in some basil and garlic, heat til bubbling.
I don't cook on weekends, but sometimes, I heat up stuff from multiple packages in the same pan.

Nothing!!!
Tonight we are going to the Celtics game and going to eat game food. Saturday I'm working and then we are going to go out to dinner. Sunday, I'm also working and then we are watching the game. I usually do it up big for Patriots games, but honestly I won't have the energy after working for....14 straight days.

@tina: that looks awesome. maybe i will make that, too!
@Boogs: that looks to die for. i will definitely make it one day. i guess this diet is never going to happen.
@jessiejo17: that is awesome. have fun tonight!

@tina: just adding the nacho ingredients to my shopping list! i am wondering if you eat the nachos right off the cookie sheet? or do you transfer it over to some kind of flat serving tray?
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@Andrea: i forgot the salsa! Or pico de gallo if you can find it. You can add shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, etc. Too. I usually serve right off the cookie sheet and let everyone dig in. Also an extra bag of chips for the mushy, goopy deliciousness at the end!

Nothing Last night my inlaws brought us Greek, and the rest of the weekend we'll also be bringing in or eating out. Good thing about surgery is you don't have to cook for a while after you have it.
