We honestly have nothing planned. My mom is leaving around 2:30 Christmas day. My family never really ate a special meal on Christmas, and we usually ate Korean food... maybe a roast beef or roast chicken once in a while.
What are you eating?

Our family does "potluck" Christmas. So we all signed up to bring different food:
DH and I are bringing Jamie Oliver's beef stew (best beef stew EVERRR!), challah bread and a lemon ginger cider drink.
Sister 1# is bringing quinoa collard wraps, cacao truffles and spinach saute salad
Sister #2 is bringing Asian cabbage seafood salad, crab dip, and GF cookies
Mom/Dad are making meatballs, cocoa, paleo snicker doodles and date cookies, broccoli cauliflower soup and quinoa bread
I am soo excited for the food!!

We do fairly traditional holiday food.
Turkey (for the meat-eaters in the family), veggie turkey, stuffing/dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, green bean casserole, lima beans, sweet potato casserole, scalloped potatoes, cornbread, cranberry sauce, glazed carrots...
And pies for dessert!

We are having breakfast at my parents place which consists of quiche, homemade cinnamon rolls, breakfast potatoes (those three made by us), fruit, and french toast casserole. We then hit brunch at DH's father's side but don't eat - too full from breakfast. lol. The last stop is dinner at DH's mom's family and there we are having prime rib, ham, turkey, stuffing, stuffed shells, potatoes, squash, green bean casserole and probably a few other things. That's a big family so there is always tons of food. And alcohol.
Needless to say Christmas is an exhausting holiday for us!

We always have a breakfast casserole, cheese Danish, and pound cake for breakfast at my parents. They then have steak, baked potatoes, and salad for dinner. Inlaws make something different every year for dinner. Hoping they do steak this year cause it just sounds really good.

We had steak, potato, salad and green beans Saturday at my parents house. On Christmas day, we'll probably go out for Chinese because I'm not up for cooking this year.

I'm making Cook's Illustrated's horseradish-crusted beef tenderloin (that was the most expensive cut of beef we have ever purchased so I hope I don't screw it up!)
Potato, cauliflower, and cheddar gratin
Roasted Brussels sprouts with vinegar-glazed red onions
Cheddar biscuits
It's DH's and my last childless Christmas so I wanted to make something special!

Smoked beef brisket will be the meat, I'm not sure what we will have with it for sure. It's just us and LO, so it will be fairly simple.

We are having a baked ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and possibly leftover butternut squash risotto.

MIL is cooking a turkey with all the trimmings. Funnily enough, I'm not super fussy on turkey, but the trimmings I lurve!

We're going to a friend's place. They're both chefs so it's always fun eating there. I'm sure they'll be serving something delicious as usual.

We're hosting Christmas dinner. Since we've got a newborn (humm...how long can I use that excuse?), we're going simple. I made lasagna this morning and we're having a salad and garlic bread. Nothing fancy!
