I know Thanksgiving hasn't even hit us yet, but I'm trying to buy gifts every week in order to space out the spending this year. I'm really struggling with something creative for SO. He's asked for a few little things, but I would like to get him something that is a surprise. Maybe you can give me some inspiration!

We are giving each other a wine tasting trip. It will be our first night away in years so we are totally excited. I am thinking about making a little basket of wine type stuff so he has something for Christmas morning

We tend to do expensive gifts rather than a bunch of little stuff.

Idk what I'm getting DH. I was so excited to surprise him with a train set, and then he figured it out and called me on my surprise.

Last year I got DH a year-long membership to the Beer of the Month club and he LOVED it. Now, I have no idea how to top it!

I got him a Kindle Fire HD and a case + mini HDMI cable so we can plug it into the TV. He'll mainly watch movies on it during his commute to work. It's not a surprise though - I wanted to make sure it's something he'd actually use. I even had him browse the other tablets for comparison. I think he's excited to get it, he hasn't had any new gadgets.

We are getting a new camera so that is our present to each other. I want to get him a couple little things to open as well. Probably will get some running stuff or clothes. He is hard to buy for.

We're getting ourselves a new piece of furniture for the family room. A reclining chair. And we're going on vacay.
Honestly, we don't really do gifts anymore. It's so hard because we just buy what we want, when we want it. It's not like we're poor college kids and have to wait for the holidays to be gifted something we can't afford 
We're both just like..."eh, i'm good. You? OK".

I haven't got a clue.... my hubs is SO hard to buy for because anything he wants he just goes out and buys right away. I tell him not to during this time of year, but he forgets.

I actually have a few ideas for things to get him.
- Bacon of the month club (seriously, what's w/ guys and bacon?)
- Air compressor
- Smoker (mmm bbq!)
- Photo book of all the pictures of DD and DH
- Car wash gift certificates
- New receiver/sound bar for our surround sound
- Sour candy
- Satellite radio
- Starbucks gift card
ETA: I'm not getting him all of this! Just one or two things

We don’t really give gifts since we mostly just buy what we want when we want it (within reason). Usually we pick an expensive thing and just say we are giving that to each other. I think we might get a treadmill this year, and we are going to buy a new, larger TV for our new house.
We also usually go out to a really, really nice dinner.

We're at the point where individual, surprise gifts = frivolous money spent and junk piling up in our house. (But we are 7 years in to our marriage! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE presents and we've done our share!!) We really have everything we need. Since our birthdays are 12 days apart (and Valentine's Day is in between), we usually end up buying something big for the both of us and call it our present to ourselves. Last year we got new couches. This Christmas we're thinking about getting a tv to mount on the bedroom wall, so we can move our tiny tv to the basement playroom.

I have no idea... he has so many hobbies you'd think I'd be able to think of something but I am TERRIBLE at giving gifts with meaning.
Usually we end up getting a combined gift for the both of us. (ex. a couple years ago we got a TV, last year we got a new PVR, etc)

He got a new job this summer that has him walking around in the city, hence exposed to the elements. He needs a good winter coat, so that's what I'm getting him. A warm, waterproof, windproof jacket. Currently researching The North Face and LL Bean.

We're each going 1/2 in on a present for the both of us - a Canon T3i DSLR. We really want it before LO comes in February, and didn't want to spend completely unnecessarily, so, a combo present it is! Getting older is kinda lame - even if it is a good present! lol

@ValentineMommy: LOL - I was the same way but have yet to get another lens besides the standard 16-55mm. DH is making me master the current one before I start splurging on a new one. Hmmmm.... sounds like a bday or Christmas gift for next year
