I am having trouble deciding what to get DH for Christmas so I was hoping to be inspired..
What are you planning on/considering getting for your SO for Christmas?

Just some stocking stuffers TBD but will be less than $20.

His birthday is just after Christmas. I try to make an extra big deal because I don't want it to get lost in the Christmas and New Year's week. So tickets to a concert he's been wanting to see for either his birthday or Christmas for sure.
Then I'm thinking maybe a kindle fire for the other? It depends on how we decide to handle Christmas gifts this year. Last year, we did stocking stuffers, so if we so that again, a fire is out!

He grew up playing the Halo series of video games and they're coming out with a new edition of all the games put together so I pre-ordered that for him: he'll get it early, but it's his true main Christmas present. I also got him some stocking stuffers: nice colored pencils, a sketchbook, ballpoint pens, a sharpener, Pokemon cards (for nostalgia's sake: we always put some sort of toy/nostalgic thing in each other's stockings), and the cute little book Vader's Little Princess since we have a daughter and he saw it in the store and thought it was cool.

I got him a couple t-shirts I found on sale several weeks ago, other than that probably not much. We have a very limited budget this year.

I may get him a new TV for our bedroom. I haven't decided yet, but he's been wanting one.

We do one big gift per year, combo birthday/anniversary/christmas. This year, my husband selected a smartwatch, the Motorola Moto 360.

We're getting a new laptop for us. Maybe a few little stocking stuffer type things.

BB Gun......no clue why he wants it so bad. I keep telling him no, but I ordered it for him yesterday. Will get him some t-shirts as well, since he needs them but don't like to spend money on clothes.

We are getting each other remote car starters - we usually only spend less than $50 on each other so this a big year! But we are having a baby in January and I think it will be a big quality of life thing for DH not to have to go start the cars every morning

We aren't doing gifts this year. We don't want/need anything.

We are just doing stocking stuffers this year. We don't need anything, and those tend to be fun, easy and pretty inexpensive.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I'm thinking of getting him a go pro or remote car starter.

@winniebee: You mean the baby won't count?!
I might order him a shirt that says "daddy since 2014" from Etsy

We're not doing gifts for each other this year and I'm actually really relieved - picking something out for him is hard!

I get him experiences, since he's pretty ambivalent about most actual "things" he could get. Last year we did rock climbing together, this year I'm taking him to see Neil deGrasse Tyson when he comes to Boston in January.

A baby-free trip to Boston with his guy friends to see a Patriots game!

@snowjewelz: haha. no but when ppl ask me what i'm getting for DS2 I say the gift of life

A Star Trek patent print for his office. And I'll probably get him something practical like a new belt.

Nothing, cause we're going to the Caribbean the week before Christmas, so that's our gift to each other. Although I'll probably end up getting him stocking stuffers and a small thing or two (clothes, etc) and vice versa.

Probably nothing
If we won the lottery in the next month I'd get him a new tv, new ipad, socks, clothes, headphones, and a new couch!

@ILoveLettie: where did you see that book? DH would love having that for our girls!

I really don't know. He can never come up with anything he wants. He says he wants a new gun (*eye roll*) but his little punk butt bought a brand new $700 gun after I told him not to a few months ago so he won't be getting a new one for years if I have anything to say about it lol

We don't really do gifts (I might buy him underwear or new undershirts, or coffee beans which we normally buy anyway), but this year I thought of something AWESOME! Someone wrote a children's book about his Grandma a looooong time ago. He was sad that he didn't get a copy when he was younger because it'd be fun to read to our girls. Well, I found a copy online miraculously! It was stupid expensive for a children's book, but it's a pretty special memory

There is a "Darth Vader and Son" as well. They're very cute! More for dad than "children's books" (they're graphic-novel style--not inappropriate or anything, just dad humour.)

@Shutterbug: us too!
We don't exchange Christmas gifts (or bday or anniversary); we pick one larger house/experience/activity item. This year we decided to go on vacation, which will be gift enough!
pear / 1610 posts
Nothing really... We just bought a new storm door for the house and are justifying that purchase by counting it as our Christmas present for each other. We don't have any extra to spend on gifts this year other than a few small things for the kids.

I bought him a new laptop bag that he really wanted. He travels cross country for work every month and his current laptop bag has seen better days.

@lawbee11: I know you like Shark Tank (me too!) and there was a belt on there that got funding - the mission belt. My DH ordered one and liked it so much he ordered another. He loves it!

@sandy: Yes!! We both love Shark Tank and I remember seeing this! Great idea

We got ourselves a new PS4. That's an early xmas present.
We normally just do stocking stuffers for each other.
