@lovelife: I wish my husband's fam would ask me for a list! Alas, I think the ILs are just buying and buying.

We just bought a jumperoo for LO, so I think we'll get her something small for Christmas. I'm thinking about:
Leapfrog Picnic Basket
-or- Potsy
and DH will probably want to get her some toy cars
I really want to avoid bombarding her with too many new toys at once, so I plan to put things away and introduce them little by little. For her birthday, I'm really looking forward to getting her a toy kitchen =)

@regberadaisy: Its more my mom asking for a list. I wish I could send it out to everyone so I can be more picky about whats in our house. :S It wouldn't be a big deal if we had a huge house to store lots of toys, however thats not the case.

An easel, a piggy bank, personalized chairs...that's about all I've come up with right now.

I don't think anyone will ask for a list, but if they do I created an amazon list with:
puzzles
books
shoes for when he starts walking
baby signing time DVDs
specific books
a wooden block set

DH & I already decided to talk to our parents about putting a "cap" on the number of presents. I also really don't want a bunch of random toys that he can't/won't use. I'd rather he get clothes or bottles - useful stuff for a 10week old baby!
We were joking though that his list should be stuff like "iPad" or "stand mixer"

Our LO's list for us and/or other people to go off from:
High Chair (my parents already bought)
Toys
6 month pajamas
Books
Sippy Cups
Toy box
Nothing too extravagant, since she will only be 4 months old but she really has no toys and by then she will be more interested in musical/light up things. I basically want some stuff to last her throughout her first year, so the next set of toys she will get will be at her first birthday.

There are some really great toys in the Land of Nod catalog right now. I want the alphabet blocks and a little xylophone for DD.
Also, a convertible carseat (or 2!), clothes from Boden and/or Hanna Anderson (my favorite expensive splurge stores), and a tractor for DD to push around and ride on.
We moved to the midwest this fall, and I really want to get DD a ride-on John Deere tractor, but they're all plastic, which makes me sad.

LO isn't born yet, but if people want to give Christmas gifts for the lil'one, the highest priority things on the list are the car seat, co-sleeper, stroller, and bouncer.
