I'd like to buy a new pair of jeans for the spring. I haven't bought a pair in years! The last pair I bought were J Brand skinnies, but I want something looser so I was thinking about getting some boyfriend style jeans maybe from Madewell?

The boyfriend jeans from madewell and so comfy! I actually really like all of their jeans/pants.
My faves are Hudson's, true religion, and madewell.

I don't have a fave brand but I seriously feel so alone because I hate bootcut & I'm not a huge fan of skinnies....I prefer flare (I know, I know) or wide leg jeans. I've never tried boyfriend before....maybe I will!

@Mrs. Sunshine: you are my jean friend! I hate boot and skinny and love flare. 1970s wide or flare! They work for my body and I think we have similar body types. They'll never go out of style (I actually think) they are classic in a bohemian way and I like the high rise

7 for all Mankind is my favorite brand. That's pretty much all I buy, other than the occasional pair from Ann Taylor. I really like their modern fit skinny jeans.

I live in skinnies and boyfriend jeans. I'm a jean junkie (I drive my husband crazy).
Can't go wrong with anything Madewell. Obsessed with them.
I love Current/Elliot and AG jeans for skinnies. A still awesome but less expensive option is actually JCrew toothpick! I get tons of compliments and they are my cheapest pair.
For boyfriend, I love my AG's as well. Plus Joe's Jeans "Vintage Reserve" line. And for a less expensive option, I had a GAP pair that I loved.

@Mrs. Bee: Try Uniqlo jeans! I was really surprised, they're great. Several different styles, really good quality, and great price. Not sure if they have boyfriend jeans though, theirs tend to have a bit of stretch so they're more fitted (they have non-skinny jeans though).

Jbrand is my favorite but I also like true religion and sometimes 7 for all mankind. Diesel makes some good pairs too.

I am like you, I haven't shopped in years. But I always without fail get compliments on my Banana republic jeans which surprises me since they were so cheap. Maybe it's because they fit me so well.

I love 7FAM, Joes and CoH the best. I've tried Loft and Gap jeans and I get a saggy butt after just 1 wear and need to wash them.

@SweetiePie: @chopsuey: Do Madewell jeans stretch? I really dislike Gap jeans because they stretch like crazy in the butt and i end up having a saggy butt for the rest of the day!

I haven't jumped on the boyfriend bandwagon (I feel like I am too short and wide to work them properly!), but I LOVE yoga jeans for skinnies. Knees don't droop, great stretch and awesome colours. Love them.

@Freckles: I only have the one pair of boyfriend jeans from GAP and those are already baggy so I didn't notice saggy butt (haha that cracks me up!)
I haven't noticed stretching with madewell. But I also like to wash my jeans pretty often because I prefer the just-out-of-the-dryer fit.

I feel so left out because 50% of the brands mentioned I've never even heard of! Buying jeans is worse than buying bathing suits. No jeans I wear ever seem to 100% fit in all areas (tall, smaller hips but athletic thighs).

JBrand, Madewell, BlankNYC, Forever 21, Paige, and recently some GAP skinny jeggings. I wear skinnies 99% of the time, but I have a boyfriend cut, skinny flare, and straight cut all from Madewell. Their jeans hold up well! Forever 21 and GAP are pretty good for me because I can find jeans that don't need to be hemmed (I'm almost 5'4".)

Guess have always been a good fit for me but recently I got a pair in banana republic and they are a great fit. I also got a pair of Michael kors which are working out well.
I think it's all about the fit. After I had LO, I wasn't able to fit into my old jeans and I couldn't face my maternity jeans for another second, so I bought a transition pair in old navy and I got more compliments on those jeans!

I bought some jeans from Old Navy after I had my last baby, during the in between time when maternity clothes don't fit but my pre-pregnancy clothes were still too small/uncomfortable. Anyway, I was surprised at how well they fit and you can't beat ON prices! I found some that were a high waist trouser style as well as some skinny jeans.

I love American Eagle's boyfriend jeans. I always find jean shopping frustrating because I need the shortest length (my inseam is only 29") and a lot of places don't carry them in store. AE does and I really like their jeans.

I like Joe's and Citizens of Humanity. I love the idea of boyfriend jeans but they make me look dumpy so I stick with skinniest and straight leg cuts.

I've gained some weight recently, and the Loft has the only clothes that seem to fit me right now. I just ordered a pair of their curvy skinny jeans to wear with my new boots.
