Solo parenting for 2 days, so hosting a noon year's Eve party for some mom friends and hanging with my ladies. Want to get them in bed, watch NYC ball drop on my computer and then get in bed right after!

Hiring our first-ever paid babysitter and hitting a local live music show with friends. We went to the same NYE show two years ago in our childless era and it was a total blast, a bunch of local musicians doing cover songs all night. I'm excited.

@skipper2010: Nada. Womp womp. DS is five weeks old and the parents leave to go home Thursday. Dinner and champagne at home before we start eating better and cutting out alcohol on the first!!!! (17 day diet).

My ILs are visiting. We will have dinner at home and probably be in bed before midnight. But then the fireworks will start, and I won't be able to sleep because it will be so loud.
