I just started one for a future baby that we aren't even TTC for yet so I could pin Mrs. Tricycle's recent post about the breast pump. I don't want people to think that I'm pregnant (because I'm not) or to ask about it or assume anything, but I think that's helpful information that I'll hopefully be needing in the future.
I might start another board for my mom's retirement party too. Wish they had this sooner so I could pin holiday gifts, but those are already finished.

I don't think I have a need for one!! I would understand creating one for a future baby, though.
That being said, I hope no one hides their food boards! I like drooling over all of them.

@mediagirl: Lol, I don't see why food would be a secret! I wish I would have had them for showers that I planned for people. I had to just email myself the info because I didn't want the people to see the pins so it would be a surprise and pinning is so much easier. Also for gifts that I want to make people, I don't want them to see me pin it.

I made a baby board. Until now, I've had a separate account that I uses to pin things, but it was annoying logging in and out between the 2 accounts all the time. I might make a Chtlristmas gift board too, bit since I don't have any ideas yet, it'll be a pretty boring board.
ETA: Sometimes I see people pin links to houses when they're house hunting. I think the secret boards will be great for that when we're ready to buy. I don't need the whole world knowing our budget.

I haven't made one yet, but I think I'm going to start one of baby stuff/nursery ideas. I'm not pregnant and even though I mostly look at baby stuff on Pinterest, I never pin anything because I don't want my mom to start getting ideas about the state of my uterus.

As soon as I read about the secret boards yesterday I made one for baby stuff I haven't outed myself online yet so it is nice to finally be able to pin stuff I like!

I tried to figure out a way to do a secret board the other day, but couldn't do it... this is so timely! We're going to move back to my home state some time in the next year, but we haven't spilled the beans yet. I want to start pinning homes that we're interested in, but didn't want to field the questions from others.

I am totally guilty of having a secret pinterest account. I have my main one, but I didn't want people to see me pinning baby things. So I created a fake email and started making secret boards that way. lol. so lame! Glad I can just use one account now

I don't have any yet, don't think I need any either. I have a general "gifts" board but anybody I buy for doesn't really follow me or use the site heavily and it's not like I have boards named for specific people.

I was trying to explain the whole thing to my husband last night when I got the email about secret boards. He doesn't get pinterest at all, so needless to say he didn't understand! I wish I could have had a secret board for baby things before! I used to casually hide stuff throughout my boards so people weren't bugging me about whether or not I was pregnant. I'll probably do one for gift ideas - a lot of my family and friends are on there so it'll be cool to keep that stuff secret. Otherwise I'm not sure.
