Aw I'm sorry.. that can be rough. Our LO is the same way. My DH will walk him around the house until he falls asleep or I will rock him. Sorry don't have much advice for you.

one way that always works for me is side lying nursing him. We swaddle him but leave both his arms out while he nurses. He passes out and then my DH swaddles up his arms and moves him to his bouncy chair. Works most of the time for us. Another thing my DH will do is keep him swaddled in his bouncy chair and stick the paci in his mouth. Sometimes that will put him to sleep.

the swaddle worked for us. how about bouncing on an exercise ball in a pitch black room (like a closet)?

the 5's? playing a super duper loud noise like the hair dryer or vacuum?

Happiest baby on the block was a godsend. The way to use the swing and swaddling. Car rides on really bad days.

The swaddle me has been great for us... Pacis help him for naps. So sorry you guys are having a tough time!!

@Mrs. Bee: i agree with the bouncing in a super dark room. We used our walk in closet! We also made sure to always be doing the 5 S's. What worked best for us with LMW was to rock her to sleep (she had to be ROCKED, not just swayed) then once she was almost deeply sleeping we'd transfer her to the rock n play. That way we could lay down and rock her with one hand. I'd rock her pretty violently until she was quiet. Then gently until I was sure she was asleep. Whenever she fussed I'd reach out and give it a push.

DD would let me rock her so I'd just lean back and close my eyes while doing it; although not fully asleep it helped me feel a litte more refreshed by the AM. DS would let me sit and bounce on the side of the bed, so I'd do the same thing with closing my eyes. I would keep them swaddled for middle of night feedings so that i didn't accidentally wake them up when swaddling.
