My LO has outside recess twice a day for about 30 minutes. She has been complaining that her legs are cold. What bottoms are your kids wearing in the colder months?
(There's no snow here so they don't send the kids out in snow pants.)

Leggings for DD and fleece or sweatpants for DS
I find they get cold in their chest and not so much legs.
Maybe you could layer some tights and pants if her legs are cold?

Fleece or jersey lined pants, very easy to find for my son, not so sure about girls colors and styles.

I love these sweatpants from the boy section of Gap for both DS's and DD. They're warm and cozy, and the ankle is cinched which works perfectly for my short DD so she doesn't trip on too long pants. They are loose enough through the leg that you could layer leggings under if it's really cold.

old navy had some great fleece leggings that we got. usually she wears those, fleece lined pants, fleece sweatpants, or wool long johns underneath looser pants. The wool is for really cold days, though, and she basically always wears them in the really cold months.

Just jeans or leggings for now. We had lined jeans last year so I will probably try to look for some this year too.

Jeans, I don't do anything else because then she gets too hot inside.

I'd layer tights or leggings under jeans. Or get some flannel lined pants!

I would send in some sweatpants to wear over her leggings if she gets cold!

I've been pondering this! I got some fleece lined leggings from Carters. For other tighter leggings, I have some baby legs that can probably go over them for extra warmth. For roomier pants, I'd probably put tights on underneath.

Would they put on a layer if you sent it, like splash pants or something that would cut the wind? Or if you sent fleece lined jeans would they put them on her for outside time?

I bought splash pants for her to wear over her leggings.

Thanks all. I am going to look for some fleece lined pants or fleece leggings for LO this weekend.
I would *love* if she'd put something extra over her legs before she goes outside, but I think they just put coats on and don't have time for dealing with an extra pair of pants.
