If you had to name a son and daughter using family names (or a slight alteration of a family member to honor them) what would you use?

Well we used Evan Charles, both of which are family name, and will be using Grace for this one, which is also a family name, and Hazel was on our short list for a while. I don't know about girls...maybe Russell as a middle name, for my FIL, or Howard (D's grandfather's name). Maybe Katherine from my side.

Girls: Alice, Alvina (middle), Lyla, Jo (middle)
Boys: Kevin (middle which is hard to do), Scott, Foster, or Paul (middle)

Our boys' middle names are family names- Dean and Michael. If we were to have a girl for #3, her middle name would be Kate/Katherine, which is my sister's middle name.

When we were TTC we thought we would use the family name Duncan for either a boy or a girl (August Duncan/Ava Duncan). When we found out we were having a son however we changed our minds. Buuuuuuuut I still love both those names!

DS already has two family names as middle names: Michael (our side) and Peter (DH's side). I'm not sure what other family boy name we would use, if any.
For a prospective DD, we would likely use Bridget (my mom's mom) as a middle name. It's also the name of SH's cousin, so we wouldn't use it as a first. My mom really regrets not using her mom's name somehow. My middle name is my dad's mom's name, who died the month before I was born.

DS is named after his grandpa so there's that.
I like Emma which was my great-grandmother.
John for a middle name which is my dad's middle name
Virginia and Nastassja for middle names, too.

Nina (my great aunt) or Luisa (DH's mom) for a girl.
And the only family name I like for a boy is Jack or John (my grandpa).
We used Thomas (my dad) as the middle name for DS.

We used family names for my LOs' middle names. If we had to find more names (moot since we are two and through), we'd do:
Anna or Georgia (if my DH had no say!!)
Heath or Henry

Sedonia as a MN for a girl. Harvey and Boyd as potential MN for a boy.

Not including my current DD and DS family names I'd probably use Milly, Lizabet (for Elizabeth), Julieta (for Julia) and for a boy William or Donovan.

We'll be using Francis as a middle name and also used Ann as a middle name which is a shortened version of a few different family names.

We did for both kids.
LO #1: Ethan plus maternal/maiden name as middle name
LO #2: James (maternal uncle, liked the name) Francis (maternal name both male and female found in a number of instances)

We used the middle name Mae as a nod to family names- my mom and grandma both have Mary in their names (and it's my middle name) plus MIL's name is a form of Mary, and my grandmas friend call her Mae. Kind of wrapped them all up in one.
I met a little girl named Mariana yesterday, which I think is really cute and my mom is Mary Anne.
We don't have many good boy names in the family! DHs middle name is Joseph after his grandfather and we probably would have used that as a middle name. But no boys for us.

Charlie for a boy (my dad, grandpa, and great grandpa's name).
Girl is tougher! Options are Mary, Irene, Darlene, Delphine, Patricia, Phyllis. None are names I would like as a first name. I do like Emma Irene.

My dad's name is Gregory and that is my son's only grandfather, so that's his middle name. If we ever had a girl, Alice or Judith would be our options (those are both grandma's)
