Everything seems to get too tight over his giant head/shoulders and then his thunder thighs. Ever since he started rolling his belly slimmed down, and he's not super tall so tummy and length are never an issue for us! Today he is wearing a 2T tshirt and 9 month soft knit shorts (all our 12 m wovens are too tight around his rolls!)

Length (in legs) and head! He's a tall baby with a big head, so things have to either button on him or be really stretchy to get over his giant head! And we had to replace all his footed sleepers early because his feet were being crammed in them!

The thighs! I have purchases so many cute little rompers for A. Daddy is better at dressing her when he has multiple one piece options. But the elastic around the thighs always gets tight too fast and she has red marks where it's digging in. We also had to buy all new footed sleepers - seems like she goes through those crazy fast as well.

I proudly held the title as "largest head in the fifth grade class" when we were doing a unit on measurements and measured each other's heads, leg length, etc.

sleeves. hope she doesn't become some knuckle dragger LOL. I'm always like, "WOW, this three-month onesie still fits!" (She's 9.5 mo). But then I notice it has a three-quarter length sleeve. Oops.

Well, if she's not wearing cloth diapers it would be length on onesies and pjs. Otherwise those cloth diapers make her grow out of her pants crazy fast!

Prior to DD being being mobile, she outgrew pants fast. They were always too tight around the tummy, even if they were too long. Now that she's 13 months, she's slimmed down so much, we're having the opposite problem -- pants that fit around the tummy are too short and the ones that fit in length are way too baggy around the tummy.

Onesies (long torso) and pant waists (big belly + cloth diapers). He's got short(er) legs, though, so pants that fit are an impossibility.
His head is actually normal-sized! I bought him a 6-12 month baseball cap and it's a little too big. I couldn't believe it.

DS has always outgrown shirts and onesies before pants. At one point in time, he was so out of proportion, he was wearing 18-24m pants while wearing 3t shirts. It was ridiculous. He's finally starting to balance out.
He has always had a problem with shirts fitting over his head...thankfully, he's finally starting to grow into it!

Shirts then pants. She's not chubby at all, but she's a tall girl. Normal t-shirts turn into a crop top overnight.

Length for sure, she's 75% for height but only 10% for weight, so pants are a struggle!

@allison: He has such a round face, I would've totally guessed he had a big head like my little guy too! I'm just about to try and temporarily sew up a few pairs of fall pants for our chilly mornings, they fit in the waist/thigh but are too long

stomach! he outgrew his 6-12 month pants only because they were tight on his waist and he couldn't squat in them! The length was fine and 6-12m tops still fit.

Legs length as well. Especially footed sleepers. Also the elastic around the thighs on some rompers. Sad to see them leave marks when they're fine everywhere else!
