We're going to build our next home and I think I want white cabinets!

Light maple. They tended to look a little dated before we updated everything around them. I hope that they are timeless enough.

Oak and I can't decide if I hate them. They're brand-new, too (but the sellers put them in, not us).

Ugly cheap apartment cupboards. Our new (old) house have off white ones but they are very old and very ugly. lol.

Ours are old and outdated cabinets that were really dark brown, but we recently painted them white, refinished our counter tops and updated our appliances. I love them white, although keeping white cabinets clean is a pain.

Ours is "brown" (it's just the natural oak wood that's been glossed/sealed). We're in the processing of painting them white soon!

White! We re-did our kitchen a month ago but the previous cabinets were white as well...or more old, dingy off-white.

@o0olibelulao0o: When we first moved into our house we refinished our cabinets and painted them white too. We eventually replaced them with new white cabinets and I have to say the manufacturer's finish is much easier to keep clean!

Ours are an oak color and I don't like them. I really want some dark cabinets, especially since we have a lot of heavy, dark wood furniture, but we're holding off until the next house.

White . . .several of them have glass fronts/panels as well.

Right now I am in the middle of re-finishing them, half are oaky, half are primed white so far.

These are the ones in the new house. Our goal is to upgrade to granite and paint the cabinets sometime this year. -

@LAGS: That's good to know! We opted out of completely remodeling our kitchen because we will hopefully move (and build) in the next few years and it seemed pointless to sink the money in... We just decided to update it and let whoever buys the house redo the kitchen however they want... But I LOVE white cabinets, so that makes me happy that new ones are easier!
