We are (hopefully) moving into a new house in October (inspection is this weekend....fingers crossed it goes well!). There's already a little girl's room that's painted pink. I'm not a huge fan of pink and am thinking of changing it but I don't know what to change it to. Also, there's a chair rail on the wall so the top half is a lighter shade than the bottom. What color is your girl's room?

Following. We're going to start changing the guest room
into DD's room. I've just started looking at paint samples but I'm leaning towards a really really pale purple. Benjamin Moore has a color called misty lilac but I might even go a shade lighter than that. -

We went with a greige. Behr Chocolate Froth I believe it was called. You can do pretty much anything with it. I did a damask stencil feature wall behind her crib in antique white and pink.

Most of the rooms (we've moved twice) have been white and we just decorated with colors but I did paint lo2 nursery a light peach and really liked it. It was on the orangey side of peach but that might be an easy fix over pink walls.

@MommySLP: that is gorgeous too!!DS's room was brown on the bottom, white chair rail and then green on top - when DD moved in I didn't want to paint it all so I left the bottom brown and made the top pink.

My favorite shade of pink is Benjamin Moore's Wispy Pink. I turned one of our bedrooms into a dressing room and painted it that color.

These rooms are all so gorgeous!
My daughter's room is green with pops of light pink and dark pink. It ended up looking really preppy and cheerful.
I have daydreams about a soothing yellow, lavender, and gray room for a future little girl.

Lavender... We were in a similar situation. Newly purchased house when we were about 3 mos preggo. It had one blue room and one lavender room.. we decided to keep them as is and use whichever one was appropriate
We painted the entire first floor of the house so I was happy to not have to paint any more!!

Walls are a bright green because we wanted to keep the paint gender neutral for the nursery. Lots of pink decorations though and when we move her into her big girl room, I think we might go ahead and paint it pink. What can I say, I love pink!
