We just bought this beautiful new bed from joss&main and LOVE IT! It is "velvet buckwheat". Our duvet is spring sparrow from pottery barn. Our current sheets (yellow gold) don't match the new bed and they're old and dingy anyway... What color should I get? I love the look of crisp white linens but I'm afraid they won't match the duvet since the base is off white... Or will it?

Try pulling an accent color from the duvet! Green or blue would give you something to contrast with all of the neutrals.

They have white sheets on the pottery barn website with your duvet (just googled cause I didn't realize that was your actual bed in the pic, haha)! I was going to suggest light sage green, but since you like white you could go with that too. I think it will look nice.

I am always all about white sheets. They look clean and crisp. they go with everything. And you can bleach them.

Sage green or any color off the duvet cover would work. The bed and walls are already neutral so I think color in the sheets would look nice.

Are those sheets from Target? I think we have the same ones in a dark brown. They are really pretty!

@tysonja: gray is usually my go to as well but our bedroom is more of a soft neutral pallet: creams, beige, muted green, spring blue and yellow.
@Thehistoryofus: yes! super soft - I love them! They have held up well. We've had them 3 years, they were $50. They are faded quite a bit but otherwise they're still soft. I would buy them again.

The bed and the walls are light and the duvet background is light, so I would go a bit dark with the sheets. Bring out the blue in the duvet, even a blue that is a bit lighter than the hues in the duvet would be pretty. Do you have shams or decorative pillows that compliment the duvet?
