I've been itching to dye my hair for a while now but cannot decide on a color, I want to do a red color but don't know if I would look too stupid. Can I get some opinions please? Thanks

how long is your hair - do you want to dye the whole head or some highlights/bottoms?
when i read your question, my first thought was "RED!" but it's summer and unless youre doing a cool-aid red, i think it's more of a fall/winter color? what about red ombre?

@yourekindapretty: my hair goes just below my shoulders and I want to dye it all. Though I could do highlights too I guess, who knows? Lol I am not sure how I feel about obmre just because its really trendy right now and lots of my friends are doing it haha.

I think red could be cute, its just extremely high maintenence. I have dyed red hair and its a PITA.... but I love it.
I think a caramely color could be really nice with your darker eyes and complexion.

I guess I should add that the main reason I want to do an all over color is because I need to do some color oops or something to my hair before doing anything else since even though it's hard to see in pics, my hair is multi-colored

with your length, i wouldnt do ombre. red is a good choice, but i agree with everyone else, i think some highlights or a lighter tone would go great with your complexion!!

Red is the fastest color to fade to blonde, especially in the sun of the summer (my mom is a hairdresser, so I've grown up with this stuff). You might try a warmer brown with some sunkissed highlights with your skin tone (think more Jessica Alba?)

A light chestnut brown, but if you're looking for more of a big change, I'm on the bandwagon for red!
