Ha, no good ideas. DH spent 3 hours in an interview while I sat in the car and waiting. He had been trying to get an audio job for 3 years. Best gift ever, he got the job! We will do something special for our next anniversary maybe.

We went on a cruise. It just so happened that we were planning a vacation, and the one we wanted left on the day of our first anniversary.
That being said, our second anniversary wasn't anywhere near as exciting!

We went to Florida. We stayed at my parents' house in The Villages (huge retirement community). We went to Universal Studios a couple times, but mostly we just lounged around the pool with the 80-year-olds.

Nothing because DH was deployed. He ordered my present and had it sent to me and I made sure he got a care package around that time. We did what we could. (:

We're going to Montreal for the weekend (We live in Ontario, but got married in Quebec), staying at a nice hotel and visiting a few of our favourite places, like our wedding venue (A sugar shack)!

We went on a staycation. We stayed in a suite in a nice hotel downtown. It had the most amazing bathroom and clawfoot tub. We had a nice dinner and ate a replica of the top tier of our wedding cake.

We celebrated our one year anniversary when LO was 1.5 months old. My SIL came to babysit, and we just went out to dinner. Simple and enjoyable, especially to have a little break from being in baby mode.

We went to a really expensive restaurant we couldn't otherwise justify the cost of. $50 a plate? Ouch! We also didn't buy eachother gifts. It was nice to feel so fancy and pampered.

We went to the town we got married in and stayed at a dog friendly b&b (got married at a b&b but it wasn't dog friendly and we wanted to bring our pup). They had an animal rescue thing going on that weekend, we went to a dog beach, and we went around taking pictures where we had our wedding pictures.... A year later with me pregnant.

I think we spent the weekend at his parents cabin. Which he wanted to do again this year. I wanted to go out of town & spend the weekend & go shopping. My grandpa had just past away a week before so we ended up staying home and going out for breakfast. It was perfect. Nothing fancy just us.
