Today we have a snow day so we mainly played inside and the movies are rolling! We may go out to "shovel" when DS2 wakes up from his nap.
When you were a kid and had a snow day, what types of things would you do? In high school, I definitely remember turning off my alarm and having my mom wake me up as needed so I could sleep in. I also remember when I was younger the neighborhood kids would all go sledding and play in the snow.

When I was in elementary school my before/after care place was typically open so I would go there. So a mix of playing inside and outside depending on just how bad the weather was. In middle school I would typically be outside with friends for half the day and then we would do movies at one person's house - most of my close friends were all within walking distance. In high school it was generally a mix of homework, hanging out with friends, and watching extra tv.

I honestly don't remember them being all that spectacular. There weren't a ton of kids in my neighborhood.

We didnt get snow often (maybe a couple times a year), so we always played in the snow all day.

My older male cousins babysat us and we got into a lot of mischief and played marathon games of Monopoly. It was glorious.

I think I only ever had two snow days. We played outside as much as possible in our cotton gloves and tennis shoes in an inch of snow.

Played outside, all day long. Watched movies and drank not chocolate. Baked with my dad. Slept in, snow days are the best !!

Played in the snow. Usually the snow day was the day after a bad storm, so it was usually sunny and fun.

We rarely had snow days, but I remember my mom listening to the radio to find out if school would be closed! We lived on an amazing sledding hill so there was mostly just tons of time in the snow and my mom would often make cookies for all the kids.
