We were pretty sure we were one and done, so we donated it to one of D's coworkers (as an extra car seat for her parents).

I suggest selling it or donating it if you can find a place (women's shelter?). I bought both of our infant car seats used because we don't have a car and if you add up the days, we used each seat for less than 2 weeks. I really didn't want to put a ton of money into a seat when I knew we would barely use it. Trust me, someone will be grateful to get a good seat at a low price.

Donated it to a family that needed one- it was a connection through a friend! Maybe a local church might be able to take it and give it to someone?
I get the reasons why people aren't supposed to use used car seats, but if a family needs one (versus going without one), then it's better to have one used!

Whether you sell it or give it away, maybe you could do so on a local parenting site/listserv rather than a more general forum like Craigslist. My parenting listserv requires your email address and real name (and you pay to join), so while people could technically still create fake identities, there's a bit more of a sense of trust and someone might be more open to receiving a product you're not *supposed* to get used because they feel like they know you just by being part of the same community.

We donated ours to a local women's shelter. I would encourage you to donate it to someone who could really need it. Id be hesitant to list as free because so many people resell stuff to make a profit.
