Mine is still sitting in my closet and I need to make a decision soon on what to do with it.

I want to store it, but no guarantees I will have another baby, much less a girl, to see if she wants it one day, so it seems a waste of space.

@Anagram: I'm glad I'm not alone!! I told someone that the other day and they about died because it's been 7 years, oops.

It's in a giant box in the guest room closet. There's no way I'd fit into it anymore, but maybe we can use some of the fabric for DD's dress. I also have my cathedral length veil, which I LOVED and hope maybe DD can use. I hope I'm not storing it for nothing =)

Mine is cleaned and preserved in a box stuck in the back of our storage room. I have a daughter and one on the way, I want them to use what they want from it.

Had it cleaned & preserved. It was covered in mud though, otherwise it would probably just be hanging uncleaned in the closet.

So...I had a super casual wedding and my dress was just a white sundress from the clearance rack, so it doesn't look like a "wedding dress." I still have it in my closet because I can still wear it...usually once a summer out to dinner with hubs!

Donated it. I was really overweight then, and I didn't love the dress, so I had no problem getting rid of it. I'd probably have consigned it if I'd liked it more. But I would have gotten rid of it for sure.

It's still in my closet, in the bag it came in. And it's still dirty.

Hanging in the closet, uncleaned. Sounds like I'm in good company.

Cleaned, but not stored, hanging in my mom's closet. I have no emotional attachment to it, so I've been trying to get her to sell it or donate for the last five years.

It's cleaned and boxed up and in a closet in a spare room. It's my mom's, so I'd have a hard time parting from it.

Mine's a lace sheath, so it's packed away in a linen bag in the top drawer of my husband's dresser. I bet he has no idea that it's in there, and that it's a drawer, lol.

Okay, I feel better that mine is still in the closet and uncleaned. I kind of want to have a dress party like they did on Friends!

Um, yeah, its in the spare bedroom closet. Not cleaned yet. Just hanging in there. The back of my dress got torn (the organza layer) so there really isn't much I can do with it, so its just chillin.

It was cut up!
My mom used one large square as the backing for DS's baptism blanket.
With the train she made me a Christmas tree skirt - which I love!!!
I still have the corset in my hope chest.
The rest was thrown away

I cleaned & stored it for almost 2yrs, then tried to consign it at one of the stores I shopped at while looking for my dress, but they said the beads/sequins were starting to yellow, so they didn't want to take it or maybe would have only given me 25% of what I paid. I ended up bringing it home & now don't know what I'll do with it. We are expecting a girl, but certainly have no idea whether there'll be something she can/will use from it. We were gifted (as a wedding gift ) a beautiful baptismal gown by my ILs, so we won't even need to make that from my dress.

@Mamaof2: I love the Christmas tree skirt idea!! My MIL loves to sew, so maybe I can go that route.

It's been professionally cleaned and stored but I've been trying to sell it.

I think around my 4th anniversary, I finally got it clean and stored. I'm still hoping to make a christening gown out of it for my LOs. Hoping I can finally make that happen now that I'm pregnant.

In a closet at my parent's house with a giant red wine stain. Still don't know who did that. But I won't have any girls so there really is no use in keeping it. I wanted my mom to make my sons' baptism gowns but she refuses to cut up a wedding dress. I used a small clipping from the train of her dress to wrap my bouquet and even though her dress was basically yellow from not having been preserved, she couldn't watch. So not sure what to do with it

@Mamaof2: Oh, baptism blanket & tree skirt! What a great idea! Definitely will be cheaper than my idea of making christening gowns out of it. Though, I would probably ask my aunt to make them and give her money for it. I think there are services that can make the gowns but they are like $500 each. Not sure if I want to spend that much on the christening gowns... my dress didn't cost that much.

I sold mine but kept my veil, since that won't go out of style as easily - I'd rather pass that on to my sister or daughter. It took about 6 months and several inquiries to successfully sell for the price I wanted, but I got about 50% of the cost of the dress back and my dress helped another bride celebrate her special day. Still very pleased with the decision

It's hanging in the guest room, filthy. I hiked around in mud on my wedding day I have no idea what to do with it, but I'm too sentimental to get rid of it or cut it up!

Cleaned and boxed.
I cut up and used my mom's dress for misc wedding supplies (ring pillow, bouquet sleeve, veil trim, etc), and want to give my girls the chance if they want.

It's in the closet. It had a few prickly nature things caught in the bottom of it. Other than that the dress was fine.

I had two dresses.
Sold the reception dress, keeping the ceremony dress.
I figure it might be a nice play outfit for my future daughter. I don't plan on making her wear it or anything.
