Still hanging in the closet. Eventually I'd like to have it cleaned and stored properly!

I thought I would sell mine since I am not a super sentimental person over objects like that, bit after the wedding I just couldn't part with it. I have it unceremoniously stored away.

Cleaned and preserved. It was the last thing my dad bought me before he passed away - I am super sentimental about it. I don't care if it's never used again..I just can't part with it.

Hanging in the closet. I've been wondering what to do with it. I keep imagining one day I'll have a huge walk in closet where I can have it displayed on a mannequin (saw it on Pinterest), but that'll never happen. Lol
Ill probably end up preserving it. Hopefully I'll get around to it soon. It's already been 4 years lol

I let a friend borrow it for her 2nd wedding. It was funny that it fit both of us but looked completely different on her. I had LO the day before her wedding so I didn't get to see it in action.
It's back in my closet but it's a short strapless dress so it doesn't take up much room.

Hanging in my parent's closet. It probably needs to be cleaned. Have to figure out what I'm doing with it, since I officially have no daughters. Maybe save it for my niece in case she wants to do something with it?

Mine is hanging in my mom's closet at her house, uncleaned, with red velvet cake stains

My BFF owns a bridal consignment shop outside of Atlanta. I consigned it with her. It got used in a photo shoot and sold within 3 months.

It is still hanging in my closet, uncleaned like many others have already said.

Mine was cleaned and stored at my parents house (who live on the other side of the country) with my veil, tiara, and other momentous from that day. For 3 1/2 yrs it stayed in my childhood closet, and I'd always intended to bring it back home with me, but DH and I just never had the room in our luggage.
2 yrs ago, my parents' house burned down, and my wedding dress with it. I get a little sad, since I loved it so much and had dreams of my little girl whirling around in it as a young woman (just for fun, as I'd definitely be okay with her having her own dress). When I was 18 my mom had taken her walking out dress (the dress that the bride changes into to go on the honeymoon) out of the closet for me to try on (she'd rented her wedding dress), and it was a fun mother-daughter moment.
Anyway, I'm mostly over it now. At least my parents were okay, even if they/we lost everything else. They are only things, even if they hold special memories.

It's still in my closet but I plan on donating it to the Little Angel Gown project where they make burial gowns for infants.

Gave it away. I left it at my parents house and moved to a different state. My mom had a friend who was getting married and she had a very limited budget. She wasn't able to afford a dress. She just happened to be the same size as me and loved my dress. I'm not very sentimental and had no plans to save it so my mom let her have it. I got to see pictures. It was sweet and she looked happy.

Add me to the list of people with an uncleaned wedding dress shoved in it's bag in the closet...

So glad I'm not the only one whose dress is hanging uncleaned in their closet!

It's hanging in my closet. I'm thinking of letting my kids use it for dress up.

Hanging in the closet. I meant to sell it but when it came down to it, I just couldn't.

Mine is hanging in a closet at my parents' house. I think it still has pine needles stuck in the train.

I actually ordered a custom made dress from Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/AmandaArcher), so it was pretty non-traditional and laid back. It's hanging in my closet, waiting for me to wear it again. Our 5 year anniversary is in May, and I think we're going to take a mini-trip... I'd love to wear it to dinner one night!

I had a had time finding one in my budget so I decided to splurge with intent to sell and I did. I was sad on the day I shipped it but it was totally worth it as I absolutely loved the dress I wore. And I knew it wouldn't be a good idea to keep it since we have moved around a couple of times since buying it and with cats in small apartments, I don't trust it would have remained in tact.

I got mine cleaned about a year and a half after the wedding. But it's not professionally boxed. My dress was a little different than a typical dress so my dry cleaner only charged like $19 to clean it!

@Mamaof2: What great uses for your dress.
Mine is hanging dirty in my closet 3.5 years later. I've always intended to clean it.

professionally cleaned and boxed up. It's stored in the back of a closet.
I just had it done over the summer (almost 4 years after the wedding). I did one of those online ones where they send you a box and you mail it off and they mail it back to you. Super convenient!
I was going to donate it but my friend convinced me to keep it since I was having a daughter. Maybe she'll use pieces of it for her wedding.

I actually just sold it this weekend on PreOwned! Took a while but I'm glad it's going to see another wedding, I loved my dress but I didn't want it just abandoned in my closet!

Still in my closet with dirt on the bottom! But we only got married a year and a half ago...
