And what did you get your husband? Just trying to figure out how much to spend. Dhs birthday is 3 days after our anniversary and we will be in Vegas partying it up but I need to get him something special!

Umm, a house?!
We were house hunting, and went under contract the night before our first anniversary. We considered that our first anniversary present because hot damn, that was expensive.

We'd been house hunting for months at that point & had been waiting for days to see if the sellers had accepted our offer. This summer will be our 5 year anniversary so we're (trying) to plan a trip.

Tickets to a comedy show in another city a few hours away. I wanted to stick with the traditional paper gift.

We were on an extreme budget as I had just graduated and was jobless. Our limit was 25$. We went with the paper theme. DH got me a piñata filled with candy and I got him a desk calendar with crosswords!

He got me a sewing book that I'd been wanting, and I bought him a book he'd been wanting.

we're not big gift people- I think we are going to get one of our favorite wedding photos framed, and probably write love notes for each other (sticking with paper theme). We'll also be going on our first date after baby (due in April, anniversary in June).

Ugh, I was 9 months pregnant so DH and I spent the day together at the spa and then went out for a nice dinner. I was in baby mode so I didn't want anything frivolous - now I hope I didn't set a trend!

We just went out to a nice dinner (a nicer place than we normally do), and afterwards at home we watched our wedding video and drank a bottle of champagne that we saved from our wedding.

LO wass born 4 days before our first annniversary. I also got him a card and a print that I thought he would like. I think he bought me flowers, a card, and made a nice dinner for us. Perfect -
I bought him Yankees-Red Sox tickets and he bought me a Kindle!
Our anniversary is end of September, his birthday is end of October and my birthday is beginning of November. Makes gift giving hard!!

My husband and I went to Montreal for a little weekend trip. We stayed in a fancy hotel and ate at all our favourite restaurants. We also visited the maple sugar shack where we got married!
I gave my husband a silver version of his wedding band (which is 18k yellow gold) because he almost lost it while on vacation and was heartbroken until he found it.
He got me a 27" monitor lol.
