Our third anniversary is in a few weeks and DH asked me for a few ideas as to what to get me, but for some reason I'm completely drawing a blank!
I need some ideas! What did your DH get you? Bonus points if it's under $100 and/or hits the leather tradition...

We don't do gifts. Just a really nice dinner. This year, Nov, my parents are babysitting overnight. Will be the first overnight and we are turning in points for a free hotel room. So we feel like we are getting away.

We haven't had a wedding anniversary yet, but what about a nice, leather wallet? I'm coveting a Tory Birch one, but they're closer to $200.

@blackbird: @Smurfette: @autumnlove: I think we'll probably do dinner too...or maybe let ILs take E overnight (!!!) and cook us a nice steak dinner. Last year his gift to me was a very nice dinner out, but he didn't tell me about it until he was leaving work that day...called and told me to oget dressed. Unfortunately, he did not consider child care, and it was to late to get anyone, so our then 2.5 month old came with us. So.stressed.out.
@blackbird: I have a weird thing about things on my wrists...I never even wear bracelets!
@deerylou: I thought about that (and part of his gift from me is a new monogrammed wallet!) but I LOVE my wallet.
@Arden: Heh I just bought myself a new purse...hmm I could use a new pair of boots though!
Maybe an initial disc necklace. E broke mine (it was a cheap POS anyway...). And he can put it in a leather pouch

We went away for a night to a really swanky hotel and had cocktails, room service, wine, dessert, cocktails.
We also treated ourselves to a couple of new pans. Steak = leather = pans to cook steak in? 
We don't do gifts for anniversaries, we tend to do "experiences" or a really nice dinner out.

We decided to do a gift on anniversary 5, 10, 15 ect. I would love to get some sort of jewelry on those - I'll probably give DH a few different clues to what I'm liking at the time and he'll go off that. For every other year we just go for a spa day together (pedi and massage as well as a mani for me) then dinner.

I received a purse for our leather anniversary. I think watch (leather band) or some leather shoes would be nice. Maybe a leather clutch purse to keep in the diaper bag.

FYI 3 years can also be crystal/glass if you go by the "modern" version!

What about a really nice leather belt? Something really soft and buttery? I wear belts a lot so I would totally appreciate that

I wish I had a better answer. For our first anniversary, DH was off doing military stuff in another state and our dog brought home a kajillion fleas from doggie daycare. It was...special. I laugh about it now. Then, I was newly pregnant and in tears! He better make up for it this year.

we had our 2 year this summer, so we each did a small theme cotton gift, and then we are buying a new microwave ha ha. I got DH a print on cotton and had it framed, and he got me this great picnic blanket that folds up with a pocket and has our last name embroidered on it. We decided we would always do it this way--something small from the theme, and then buy something together for the house.

I got a paper massage gift certificate for our first. What about a pandora necklace (since you don't like bracelets) with a leather chain? And you can add to it with charms!

My husband had a challenge with our 3rd anniversary because I'm a vegetarian so leather wasn't going to work. He told me he figured "I am a modern man!" and went with the modern version of the 3rd anniversary gift, which is crystal. I received two huge Waterford crystal red wine goblets. They're incredible and I love them and we drink out of them at least once a week.

We don't exchange gifts, just go out to dinner. Our was the beginning of September and he had bought me a car, and I bought him a duvet for his down comforter, so we called it our anniversary gifts to each other, lol. But, really, it was just coincidental, cause we needed both of those items.

Well I sent him links to a new gold initial disc necklace and a leather clutch. Knowing my husband, though, he'll ignore them (even though he asked for them) and get or do something else, lol.

@lovehoneybee: lol, our son had a major blowout at our second anniversary dinner, same age- all we could do was laugh.
We try to loosely follow the traditions for fun, so he got me a leather work bag. It doubles as a diaper bag when we travel since i don't carry one usually. I love it!

A crazy expensive and fancy dinner. One where there is a strict dress code and they serve things you can barely pronounce. I have always wanted to go somewhere like that so that was all I wanted. It was awesome!
