C's birthday is coming up and we're stumped. He has clothes, we already got him some books. If you have a water table, does LO play with it? Activity cube? Just put extra $ in his college account?

We got him a smart trike... We pretty much used it as a stroller to go on walks around the neighborhood at first, but he's starting to learn to pedal now. He always asks to go on trike rides! http://smart-trike.com/

Anywhere Chair, Activity Cube, and a Radio Flyer push wagon . . . and a few other miscellaneous things. A water table (which could probably also be used as a sand table) and a Cozy Coupe also sound like great options!

We got him a Land of Nod chair (like the anywhere chair) which he looooves, and a bunch of little people stuff. We did get him a water table (for Easter), but we won't use it until it's warmer out. He has played with it with no water though and already seems interested in it empty lol

DH thinks we should just wrap up the gifts she got for Christmas (we have lots of unopened toys), but I'm looking for at least SOMETHING. Following!

A couple board books, a hand kite and a fisher price corn popper.
Family got balls, puzzles, some kind of dump truck thingie, and a stuffed animal. Oh, and a red flyer push tryke thingie (stays at in-laws house).

We got her a book. And then forgot to buy her anything else. So we got her a water table a few weeks later and I'm getting ready to buy her an Anywhere Chair. She just didn't need anything, so we decided to wait and get her stuff this summer she could use. She got tons of gifts at her party!

We gave him a fun party with all of his favorite people!! His birthday is 3 days after Christmas though and he got some good stuff then so we thought more gifts would be overkill.
I think some outdoor stuff would be fun! Does he have one of those push trikes?

We got her the Anywhere chair and some blocks I got at a consignment sale.
My parents got her a Cozy Coupe and she loves it. Along with the water table some Aunts, Uncles, and cousins all went in together one. She got a slide and swing too. We still have to hang the swing but she loves the slide. She got the Zany Zoo for Christmas.

We did a french doll with a matching dress for her big day, some special wooden blocks made in germany and some musical instruments! Most exciting is her own room

We took him to ToysRus on his actual birthday. Got him a megablocks set and a golf toy set. Before that I got the Fisher Price toys (rockn giraffe and LP farm) with the target deal I heard about on HB.
He received so many big gifts at his party a few days later. We still have some in our closet!

We got her a set of megablocks and a couple books. We didn't plan on getting her anything big this year.

We got our daughter one of Hallmark's interactive story buddies. They're stuffed animals that respond to phrases you read in the book they come with. Most of them have other books too so it's a good thing to add onto for future birthdays/Christmases. Love these other ideas too!

We got her the Zany Zoo activities cube, one grandparent got her the Cozy Coupe (by far her favorite toy) and the other got her a battery powered four wheeler (another favorite.)

Got her practical things, shoes, jammies, clothes, books. A couple fun toys since she didn't have ANY (and now she has way too many, of course). My 'big' thing was that I painted this for her, and she LOVES it!

Zoo membership & swim lessons. Grandparents got her a wagon that she absolutely loves (so do we) and my parents got her a cozy coupe (another huge favorite) and $ to use towards swim lessons or membership at children's museum.

We didn't get her anything! Buuut, it's because she was gifted with everything under the sun from a 4-in-1 trike, play kitchen, clothes, books, everything!

@swurlygurl: That is so cute! If I tried to paint that, it would be little smiley faced stick figures.
We got E a swing (although we already broke that sucker out. He loves it) and we got him some musical instruments: a floor tom, maracas, a tambourine, and a xylophone.
A water table would be a great idea if the mosquitos weren't so miserable here.

We got her a few books and a kid size table and chairs. She was a little small for them at the time, but at 16 mo, loves them. Prefers having her snack there rather than her high chair. It's pretty adorable.

@Espion: mosquitoes are the (unofficial!) state bird, don'tchaknow! ;P

@MsLipGloss: I believe it! I could swear a few of them were working together to carry me away to their nest...

@blackbird: We totally forgot to get her something too. I mean, we have ideas- but we kind of keep putting it off. I'm going yardsale-ing (and digging through my parents barn) this weekend to see if i can find her a not scary doll or some wooden blocks. Seems unlikely....but if I don't find something we'll probably order it soon.
I should have just wrapped up an empty oatmeal container.

What about one of those latch boards? If your LO likes to fiddle with things they seemingly shouldn't
http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Latches-Board/dp/B000NVBE1A
Or you could DIY one with all kinds of fun latches and things.
