Hmmm it was in May, I was on maternity leave, I think I said "yes you can go on your guy's golf trip...happy anniversary." I don't think I got him a "real" gift, we did go out to dinner and my mom watched the girls for 2 hours.

A card and I baked him his favourite cookies. We went out to dinner...we aren't big on anniversary gifts

We're not big on gifts either. Plus with a baby, just being able to go out for dinner was already a treat, haha!

I am pretty sure I got him a card. We are terrible with gifts for each other since our son was born. Sometimes we do still try but it's hit or miss.

Nothing this year. We treated ourselves to a fancy dinner and a movie, and he got me a card.

Our anniversary is next Wed and....ummmm....hadn't really given it much thought yet. I'll probably get him a card and if we line up a sitter we'll probably go out to a nice dinner at some point. Other than card/nice dinner, we've never been much for gift giving on our anniversaries.

A card - that's it and we went to dinner. We took DS1 with is too because he pitched a fit.

@Alivoo01: Where did you get the plaque? Tomorrow is our 5th and I haven't gotten anything

We're going to Vegas to celebrate. But also I plan to get him something small that's in theme with the cotton anniversary. I plan to just fill it with small things and put some cotton balls inside. I'd like to be able to find some cotton candy to add to it but worst case it will be something cotton candy flavoured.

Ours is next week and I got a pillow with the words to our first song printed on it. TBH, we don't usually do gifts at all so he'll probably be pissed. But I consider that more of an us gift since it will go on our bed. Usually we just go out to dinner. Two years ago, we both got each other canvas pictures. His was one from our wedding and mine was a map with a heart at the address of the place where we met. Can't remember if we did anything last year.

I really wanted to do something "big" for our 5 year next year. I wanted to go somewhere for a long weekend, especially since it falls on a Saturday. However his best friend is getting married the weekend before and it'll be out of town so that kind of ruins those plans. Not really pertinent to this discussion but I'm just bummed and, truthfully, I'm not a huge fan of his friend and future bride.

We never do gifts, just cards. This year, Nov, we get a trip to Mexico, no LO, for a friend's wedding. Time just us is all we want/need.

We stick with the themed gifts and usually try to do a nice dinner. This year was wood which was hard (haha no pun intended!). He got me/us a clock for our mantle with an engraving on the back. I bought Jenga and wrote places we've vacationed on the pieces with the plan to continue that going forward. I also adopted a maple tree at a local farm and got maple syrup, maple granola and local honey as part of the adoption gift.

We just made a reservation at a really nice Inn for a mini-getaway after Christmas. My parents are going to babysit so we can go just the two of us and celebrate our 6th anniversary (Jan 2nd) and get ready to be a family of 4!

Is it awful that I don't even remember?! Our wedding anniversary is just a few days after my birthday, and our DD's birthday is just a few days after our anniversary. We don't generally do gifts other than for birthdays, so I don't think we got each other anything. This year our anniversary falls on Thanksgiving and we will have family in town, so it will probably just be a big home cooked dinner.

We haven't done physical gifts since our second anniversary. The last one was our 5 year anniversary so we asked my BIL and his gf to watch the girls. We rented a hotel room down town for the night. Basically just spent a lot of time together, just the two of us, and ate a lot of great food! It was awesome and we want to do it again. ASAP.

Ours is next week and I have no clue... its 4 which is fruit or flowers. DH could care less about either. Maybe I'll bake him a treat, he likes pie so that would be fruit? Otherwise, we are going out to dinner, which will be great!!

Last year was our 5th, so we went out to dinner that weekend, and then we also took a cruise a few months later (we had always planned to do a nice trip for our 5th, but instead of just the two of us, it ended up being our first family vacation). This year, I may ask if we can plan one or two nights away someplace local.
