For apps we did veggie platter, shrimp summer rolls and my brother also brought sashimi and seaweed salad.
Entree was chicken and steak skewers, quinoa salad and lime cilantro sweet potatoes. A cousin also brought over a huge chefs salad and MIL also made a potatoes salad.
Birthday cake, crepe cake from lady M in nyc via my brother and a "mush cake" from a cousin.
And of course beer, coke and juice.

phew, thanks everyone! we have a list of about 50 (for party #1, family, on saturday) and about 20 (for party #2, on sunday) so I was afraid of running out of food...but also don't have the money to buy a ton and be left with too much at the end!
luckily, family all wants to help out..so they'll each get assigned something

We had a circus themed party so we served hot dogs, along with a variety of sandwiches as the main dish.
We had a popcorn machine, chips + dip, veggie crudite, cheese + crackers, hot egg rolls, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and pasta salad as side dishes.
For dessert we created a "sweet shoppe" with cookies, brownies, Whirlypops, candy, gum balls, and birthday cake.
