Just wondering. M has been having a few blowouts a day and I'm wondering if it's because her diapers are too small? Is that possible? She's in the 8lb range now (not sure of her exact weight but she was 8lbs 4oz on Monday). I have Pampers Newborn and Size 1's.

My little one was 8 pounds 9 oz when he was born and we didn't wear more than 3 newborn diapers and went straight to size 1.

My LO weighed a little under 9 lbs when we switched to Size 1.

Lo is 9 1/2- 10 lbs and I just switched to size ones because she started having some blowouts.

So I should get a big ole' 300 pack of Nb sz diapers should I?I'd think the blowouts are because of the size because if you're using Pampers, there shouldn't be any blowouts for any other reason than poor fit, i'd assume.

She was born at 9 lbs and we used a mix of NB and 1 diapers. I would say its time to start buying some size 1's and see if it helps!

I started her in size one diapers. LO was 6 lbs 4 oz when she was born, but its what they used in the hospital, so its what I used at home!

Wow, the size 1's seem so BIG on her!! I think they may contain things a little better, though. We'll see!
@Thehistoryofus: thankfully we have a stash of 1's from a couple of diaper cakes.

We used NB diapers for at least a month. She was about 10 lbs when we switched but the size 1 seemed too big and we'd still get leaks. I think they get to a weird in between stage where nothing fits.

LO was 8lbs at birth and is now 9lbs. 12oz. at 5 weeks old. She moved into size 1 diapers last week (not sure what she weighed then). She wasn't having blowouts, but the NB diapers looked too tight/small on her. We use Pampers too

Our LO is in the middle 8 lb range and I too have been worried about blow outs so I've just made the switch to size 1's. We were waiting for the umbilical cord to drop off first, but I just didn't want to keep rolling the dice.
