I just went for the first time today! It's about a 15m drive from me, but was pretty awesome. I grabbed some organic produce (frozen and fresh) for LO, some dog treats and other random things.
My dog just went ape over the treat. They are huge!

@highwire: lol! is it with the butter? or cookies? or bake shop? I was kind of overwhelmed by all the people who clearly knew what they were doing - I was blown away by the fact that the cashier took my cart on their side of the cash register!!

I buy a lot of the skillet meals (Kung Pao, Chimichurri rice, roasted potatoes) they're so helpful on busy weeknights!
I like to mak Kung Pao Spaghetti (my fave at CPK) with some noodles and the TJ Kung Pao mixed together. There is plenty of sauce for the noodles to be completely covered
I also LOVE their breakfast trail mix Can you tell I'm a TJ's nut?! haha

Tamales
Frozen fruit
These French apple tarts
Reduced fat wheat crackers (seriously the best!)
Wine
Power greens mix (spinach and kale)
Sometimes I buy cheese and yogurt there too; and veggies are usually cheaper than the grocery store especially avocados, lemons, limes, fennel and eggplant.
I don't eat many frozen meals but they have one that's pasta with Brie and asparagus that's really tasty. There and actual thick slice of Brie across the top nom nom nom

Omg I love Trader Joe's nearly as much as I love Costco... haha.
Some favorites:
-sweet chicken and apple sausage (apparently these are popular b/c they are sold out half the time I go!)
-frozen chocolate croissants -- these are as good as the ones from the bakery. Don't look at the nutritional info though
-frozen tri-color bell pepper strips
-frozen gnocci w/ sauce (this makes for a super easy 15 min meal)
-french sparkling berry lemonade
-CHEESE!!!! Their cheese selection is amazing and so much cheaper than Whole Foods.

@sorrycharlie: We love their orange chicken (frozen.) DH and I both think its better than Chinese take-out. I also love their Mochi ice cream balls (mango flavor all the way). They are super yummy and help increase breastmilk production too.

@oahujeni: Do you know what in them increases breast milk production?? I've never heard that before and it made me wonder.

Their asiago peppercorn sourdough is the best! Great for toast or paninis. Also love the roasted red pepper tomato soup and the frozen steel cut oatmeal.

I love Trader Joe's. My favorite things are their frozen potstickers, dark chocolate covered raisins, Dunkers chocolate chip cookies, most of their single serving, pre made salads, the frozen pre cooked brown rice. I could go on and on. Oh and they always have such pretty bouquets of flowers that seem to last a decent amount of time. My only complaint is that their produce is sometimes his or miss.
pear / 1642 posts
Omg, this makes me so excited. They are building a Trader Joes in my neighborhood next year and I can't wait!
pear / 1961 posts
They have a ton of stuff that is convenient but still minimally processed. Especially now that I am back to work FT and LO is eating all solids, we rely on a fair amount of TJs frozen foods for nights when we don't have time/motivation to do much cooking.
Also, the TJ's almond milk/etc doesn't have carrageenan.
cherry / 196 posts
Sounds lame but I'm always stocked up on their frozen brown rice. Perfection. 3 minutes in the microwave and its better than most restaurant brown rice.
I also like their frozen veggies.
clementine / 959 posts
@T-Mom: the ficelle bread is with all the other French bread, not refrigerated or anything. I love that stuff!
Peanut butter cups
Almond chocolate spread

Wild berry Applesauce (sugar free for LO)
