It's 11 at night. You're alone. You're 37 weeks pregnant with horrendous heartburn and no relief in sight fom the max dosage medication you took two hours ago. What do you do??

Eat ice cream! The dairy is supposed to help plus it's cooling.

I'm with @Rosie Girl: I would cry. Then call DH and cry to him.

Ugh, y'all it was so bad. I am pretty sure between the 3 hours of sleep I got two nights ago and the awful heartburn last night there is not enough concealer in the world to hide my circles! I tried drinking milk, that sometimes helps...and fail.

Were you laying down to sleep? I'm pretty sure (read: very sure!) I went over the max dosage of Tums and Maalox many days, and there were plenty of nights I just took extra to get me to sleep. If more meds are not an option, try sitting up if you are not already. I slept upright in an oversized leather easy chair for several weeks at the end...laying down made the heartburn so bad I would nearly vomit

@yoursilverlining no way! if I am barely sitting not all the way up I have burning forever! the reflux and heartburn has been so painful my whole pregnancy almost that my doctor rx'ed me something to take and it STILL is that bad. it sucks really bad because when i'm sleeping and i do start to creep down i start choking on my own acid and vomit.
at least the end is in sight for me! i can't imagine what life was like without heartburn, ha!

Ugh I’d probably cry =/ My heartburn was really bad last night….I definitely considered sleeping in our recliner so that I could be at a small incline. You’re almost done!
