I read books on the Kindle app on my phone! Or internet articles that I download into Instapaper (an app).
What do you do during your commute? (If you used to have a commute, share what you used to do!)

Listen to the morning radio show, or if I have one on the go I'll listen to a book on tape

I take the train, usually with Hubs. So in the morning, I check my email and facebook, and then Hubs and I just talk. In the evenings, it's usually too crowded for us to be able to sit together, so I read my book and listen to my iPod.

@mrbee: I;'m usually on the phone (hands free, I promise) and listen to morning radio! My commute is 70 minutes so I have lots of time.

In the week we commuted together on the train (after we moved to the suburbs, before I got laid off) Wagon Sr. and I would get a seat on the train together and watch a movie on the ipod!
Now that we drive in together, we listen to a series of local morning radio shows (the brain strain on 102.5, can't beat kennedy on 104.1, then matty in the morning on 107.9). And we talk, obviously. It is amazing to have that time together because we so rarely have time just to ourselves now!!

No commute here. I mostly love it, but occasionally I'll be in the middle of an NPR story when I get to work that I would like to hear the end of.

That's nice that so many of you get to commute with your DH!
I work from home, so I only commute one day a week, its about a 55 minute drive so I listen to the radio/sing along

I listen to audiobooks whenever I'm alone in the car!

I listen to podcasts on my ipod, and I always call my mom right after I pick up LO from daycare and talk to her the last 10-15 minutes of the drive home.

I put one foot in front of the other on my walk and listen to my iPod. That and count down the days until I don't have to drudge in anymore. (30 days!)

Read the paper and Kindle. Fool around on my phone. I would nap on the way home sometimes.

I have an 1.5 commute on the train and I usually sleep in the mornings and read a book on my kindle in the pm.

DH drives in the AM and I drive in the PM, since we carpool together. I'm usually chatting with him in the AM if I'm not passed out!! We have an early commute haha. In the PM, DH and I usually just chat.

I listen to audio books (just finished Bossypants!) or Podcasts. Mostly Paleo and pregnancy podcasts right now or Jillian Michaels.

45 minutes each way...I'm an NPR junkie usually, sometimes I do "music therapy" where I play music that I like really loud... cheers me up or relaxes me when I need it or when NPR has a pledge drive.
@Mrs. Jacks: Yes! Usually once a week I'm late for work because of a story I'm in the middle of (or was when I did 5 days a week onsite). My boss always thought it was funny I would get there early but still be late! I do have my stereo at home set to NPR so I can dash inside and turn it on without missing much!

DH and I usually ride together so we either chat, or he listens to sports talk radio and I play on my phone.

I talk to my lo as we're headed to daycare or just listen to music. Once I drop her off, I turn on Mike and Mike. I have to get my fill of sports knowledge before heading into work where all the guys like to chat about the upcoming weekend.

I drive so I usually listen to NPR or music on the radio. It's only about 2 miles from my house to work so not enough time to listen to an audiobook or anything. Sometimes I turn the radio off on the way home and just enjoy some silence!!

I drive a lot, so I always have an audio book in the car!! It makes me excited to drive, especially when it's a really good book!

No more commuting here, but when I was commuting (1.5 hours each way) I would pump and listen to the radio of course. =)

Catch up on FB, Pinterest, and Twitter then nap.

I have a 30-40 minute drive. I just listen to the morning radio show and try not to get too annoyed with traffic! On the way home I listen to my iPod or talk on the phone (hands free in my car).
