@babyjmama: This wasn't for our anniversary, but for Christmas my husband used some of our miles (we didn't have enough to actually go anywhere with them and they were going to expire) to get us a free stay at the Loews Hotel in Atlanta. We are going for NYE and he had a little itinerary he had made. With us not having to think about a $300 hotel stay (thanks to the miles), we can eat a fancy meal! Plus I didn't even know we could use our miles towards hotels - I'd always used it towards magazine subscriptions.

Staycation! We did this last year and it was so much fun

That's our anniversary too!!

We always dress up and go somewhere incredibly fancy and expensive that we wouldn't go to normally. Usually every other year we go to a musical or something. We're young and poor though, so it's not hard to find "special" things for us to do!

On the actual day, we stayed home and made an amazing steak dinner. Watched some tube and just vegged. The weekend before we went to the hotel/spa where we went for our honeymoon. Had a fab weekend!
