My DS fell asleep around 7:30 and has been awake a few times already because he can't breath! I feel so bad for him and keep trying to suck out his nose, but it isn't helping... We have a humidifier running in his room and have been using nasal saline spray too.
What do you do to help your LO sleep when they are sick?

I hold her so she can sleep upright against me.

We're in the same boat with a stuffy baby! When she's sick like this, I usually end up caving and letting her sleep with me in bed. I prop up her head on my pillow, and snuggle up with her, and then she sleeps just fine.

My lo has a cold too but luckily the shot just runs right out, not stuffy at all. Just yucky. Hope your lo feels better so you can all get some sleep!

@autumnlove: Thanks for the well wishes.. I hope your LO's get better too, @artbee & @skibobrown. This cold just came on quick today! It explains his crankiness yesterday though... We will probably end up snuggling together to get through the night.

LO just got over a cold and the ped advised to keep her head elevated. I put a pillow under the upper part of her co-sleeper to elevate that, and also had her sleep against me, sitting up. I spent several hours sleeping in the easy chair, with LO against my chest.
We also gave her some infant cold medicine.

Maybe some Vicks baby rub would help. I put it on LO when he can't breathe, in addition to what you said. Hope both of you can get some rest!
