Lots of water and lots of sleep. And start doing breathing treatments to keep it from going to my lungs. And I plan on going to the doctor a few days later because my illness pretty much always turn into either a sinus infection or upper resp. infection. I usually head to the dr. sooner rather than later.

I warn my hubby so he can stay away and use different hand towels. Then I usually just drink some OJ.

I vitamin C bomb it! That means 1000mg of Vit C an hour with lots of water. Keep it up until you feel better or your poops get loose. Try to cut out sugars (that includes OJ!)

Same here. I take a EMERGEN C then I also gargle with warm salt water. My first symptom of getting sick is usually a sore throat, so if I can cut this at the path, I'm good.

I take vitamin c crystal powder (pure as ascorbic acid) with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I also drink 2-3tbsp of apple cider vinegar in boiling water. I'm trying not to catch something right now.

Sleep! I also try to drink hot water with honey and lemon and force myself to eat something warm, even if I don't feel like it.

I juice oranges and lemons and drink those, plus plenty of water. Garlic and echinecea too.

I juice a lemon and stir it together with a teaspoon of local honey.
I try to take my vitamins regularly and get enough sleep, which is the most difficult to do.

@chopsuey119: My exact regiment when I feel a cold coming on... I also pop migraine medicine... but sleep + Vit C + OJ + Water seem to be the cure for me. I try to sweat it out in my sleep.

I hate that feeling!
I try to rest and hydrate as much as possible. Flush it out.

Two words: zinc lozenges.
If you are faithful with them and start taking them as soon as you feel a cold coming on they work almost every time.
Last week I started getting DH's cold (that's been plaguing him for 10 days now). I took zinc lozenges all day long and got lots of rest...woke up the next morning....no cold!
