When LO makes me mad, I have to close the door and cry because I feel guilty for being mad. Then I take a few deep breaths and try to start all over. Usually my patience wears thing when I try to make her do things at normal adult speed (ie. putting on her clothes, changing her diaper, etc.)...

When LO makes me mad, I just walk away for a minute and regain myself. Usually it's during meal times. He's a good eater but he'll throw food on the ground and slap my hand away if he doesn't like something with food splattering everywhere. He makes such a big mess and it's hard to clean up/crouch on the floor with this big ole belly. If I get mad, I just leave him in his high chair and walk into the kitchen and do some dishes and ignore him for a minute. Happens pretty often. =\

I just take a minute to regain my composure. My DD is still young (10 months) but she's already started testing the limits. Toddlerhood is going to be so much fun! Weeee! /sarcasm

Yikes! Hope you feel better. I get frustrated when my LO is sucking on my nipple and then suddenly jerks his head away...yanking my nipple! It hurts! I know he's young and probably doesn't know any better but one time he kept doing it so I had to stop him, and told him nicely but firmly to stop.

When DD gets particularly challenging, we go for a walk. She sits in the front of the stroller, I stand in the back, and we both get some private time. Otherwise, I just try to keep control of myself and deal with the situation as quickly as possible. Then, I distract DD with something and take a few minutes for myself to calm down. Toddlers are hard!
