I know newborns cry. And sometimes (often?) for no reason. But I want to make sure we're not missing some standard steps people take to try to calm the baby.

LO seems to have a rough time in the evenings. She'll start screaming her head off in that really sad inconsolable sort of way and we just don't know what to do. We snuggle her. I try to breastfeed her (doesn't really work if she's so upset). We check her diaper. We burp her and peddle her feet and try gas drops to see if she is gassy and we can work that out. We rock and bounce and sing to her.

Anything else we should try?
