We throw cards we've received out after Christmas. I always feel a little bad throwing away family pictures and etc. HAHA. But hubs and I don't like collecting/saving stuff like that.
I think this is why I didn't buy fancy wedding invites, baby announcements, etc. I figure most people throw stuff out like we do?

I'm a tosser too! That is one reason why I hate giving card period. If the person I am giving it to is like me, they will toss them, so why waste the money?!

@Rosie Girl: Ok good! Glad I'm not the only one. I never gave cards out before I got married, but I feel pressured to now. -.- Since EVERYONE on my hubs' side sends out Christmas cards..
and thank you cards and blah blah blah cards.

I usually toss, but I saw a neat blog post the other day about turning them into Christmas ornaments which is a really cool idea. I'll probably do that from here on out.

I toss after the event is over (the holiday, the wedding, the baby's 1st bday, etc.). I wish I was more sentimental, but I would never look at that stuff again if I saved it in a shoebox.

We throw ours out a little while after Christmas. We have a lot of the photos up on our refrigerator, but then we throw them out afterwards.

@chopsuey119: OMG! DH's family gives cards for everything! It drives me crazy and we actually got in a fight about it once because I didn't want to get a card for a birthday or something! hahaha!!!!!

I keep them. We have a big box for miscellaneous photos. It's fun to go through all the old cards and see how people change.
I'm not offended if people throw away my card.

We save them for a year and then toss them when the new ones come in. I like to decorate with Christmas cards, so I have to have old ones until I can replace them with the new ones!

Cards are the one and only item that I would consider myself a hoarder of. With all other things I am a purger. I do not like clutter and I can't stand keeping things that are pretty much useless. But, I have not thrown out a single card (holiday or otherwise) since I was 8 years old. As you can imagine, there is a large storage bin of them in the basement but it's sometimes really fun to go back and look at them. Well, at least the more personal ones.

I've been throwing away the non-family picture ones. I saved only the picture ones from last year and the year before. I keep wedding invites, thank you's, etc. in a box we received a wedding present in.

I throw away every card I receive with a few exceptions. I kept all of the cards from our wedding and I like to keep birth announcements, and I keep cards my husband gives me. But I throw away Christmas and birthday cards.

I kept all of our wedding cards and all the cards I received for LO's birth. But any other cards, I keep for a few weeks (have them displayed on our mantle) and then toss them.

haha christmas cards with pictures are on my fridge door. every year, i'll take them down when i get the new ones and keep them in a file drawer. i throw out other cards that don't have pictures.

I toss unless it's a close friend or family. In that case I'll leave it on my fridge for a few months before tossing.

I save the photo ones in the decorations bin, so fun to compare to te year after! The new ones get tucked onto the tree

If it is a family photo christmas card I keep it and put it on the fridge till next year then I put it in a box. If it is just a card I generally toss it.

I'm a hoarder, so I do keep all the cards I get. Hubby hates it, I have boxes and boxes of cards and notes from everyone. I feel like *one day* I'll go back and look at them......one day I will =P

We throw them out. I'm not a big fan of keeping random crap around the house. We have enough of it ourselves!
