I'm not sure what the recommended way to handle this is!
What do you do with used bacon grease?

Pour it into a tupperware or mason jar and store it in the fridge. Bust it out for fried potatoes and other goodies!!
p.s. Don't pour it down the drain. It's bad for the pipes.

I don't know the proper way to dispose of it but we throw it out in our backyard lol.

@yoursilverlining: Ditto! I like to use a little bit to grease my pan when I make eggs.
ETA: My SIL lines a coffee mug with foil, pours it in there and chills it in the fridge. Once it's a little more solid she takes the whole thing out of the mug and tosses it.

We keep a grease jar under the sink. We throw it out when it's full, but you could use it for other foods.

@mrsaudi: haha yep! We feed it to this huge pine tree in our backyard. Poor tree...but it looks amazingly healthy.

Use it in anything that needs oil or some kind of fat and/or wouldn't taste bad with bacon. It's good added to pea soup. Try frying your grilled cheese in it. If you're going to dispose of it, do like others have said and chill it. You can use an old plastic container (e.g. a butter container) in the freezer and add grease until it's full, and then chuck the whole thing in the garbage. It works for any grease, not just bacon. We use a small container because we rarely cook in grease.

We have a little tupperware in the fridge full of it--we add it to refried beans, and my husband cooks eggs and other things in it.

There's a jar I keep under my sink for it and when it's full I just toss it.

I heard you can make brussel sprouts taste delicious with a little bacon fat.
I don't like brussel sprouts so I won't try it.
I put it in a jar and save it in the fridge. Then when it's been in there too long, I put it in a ziplock bag and throw it out.

I usually pour it into an empty soda can or tin can and throw it away.

we pour it over the dogs' food as a special treat. If there's too much, or if the dogs have already had bacon grease recently we just throw it away in the trash. We used to throw it in the backyard but stopped when we realized it was attracting wild animals (like bears!).

Save it for making popovers (Yorkshire pudding)! I've also been wanting to try separating the fat and using the leftover juice to make a cocktail..

@yoursilverlining: that's genius! I never would have thought of that!
We just tip it in the garden

Put a piece of tinfoil in a small bowl, pour the grease in, and put it in the fridge. Once the grease hardens, wad up the tinfoil and throw it away.

I keep a jar under the sink for all things grease/oil. Once it's filled, it goes out in the trash.

We put it in an old coffee container in the freezer. When it gets full we toss it. Come to think of it, I don't know why we keep it in the freezer, but it works.

Cook with it! There are some things that are just so much better cooked that way, and it is also a very stable oil, so much better than, say canola, for some recipes. If you are throwing it away, send it to me! I sometimes cook bacon just to get the fat to use for cooking! It is also fabulous for seasoning cast iron.

I throw it away...scoop it in a plastic bag then put in the main trash bag.

We have a grease can (just an empty can of tomatoes) that we keep under the sink and fill with leftover grease and then throw in the garbage once it's full.

Set the pan out in the snow for a few minutes to harden the grease and then scoop it out into the trash.

Sometimes used for eggs. Most of the time it goes in the fridge with great intentions only to get tossed later.
