DH and I caught the stomach bug that LO had, except it's hitting us much harder. I can barely stand and haven't kept anything down since 8 am. My sister offered to take her but I don't know how I feel about her leaving. What would you do?

I would let my sister take my Lo. When I'm sick I have to suffer through it and take care of Lo since I don't have family close by.
Hope you get better soon!

Ditto @chops. I would love some help in that situation. You will probably both get better more quickly, too. Feel better!

Are you breastfeeding? If so then you may want to keep nursing her so that she'll get your antibodies against the virus just in case it's not the same that she had. Can you sister stay with you (and wash her hands like crazy while she's there)?

I would let her go. Id hate it, but you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of someone else. I always have to have help because of my migraines and it breaks my heart not to be the one taking care of her, but that's just life. And the plus is that your lo will get some good quality time with her aunt.

Ugh, that happened to me at 3 weeks postpartum. I just suffered through it, I didn't have anyone to help. Luckily the baby wasn't sick but I was changing my todder's sheets twice a night. So brutal. I would accept help, although, Like Mrs Stroller said, breastmilk is the best protection for LO if you're still nursing.

We don't have anyone to help, but I'd love it if someone came over for a few hours just so we could sleep. We went through the same kind of stomach bug, first LO, then me, then DH, it was a horror show.

I was so sick and dehydrated I didn't produce any breastmilk all day - finally got some last night, but went ahead and had my sister take her just in case. I'm about to go pick her up and make sure I nurse her all day so she does have the antibodies.
I'm thankful I had my sister around. I couldn't get out of bed... I had to crawl if I needed to go somewhere. Ugh - I'm so mad at the daycare right now!

Awwwh, hope everyone feels better soon!! My LO got sick with bronchiolitis her first week of daycare and got us sick too. It was a miserable month(little sleep, short tempers) since we don't have too much family around. Her cough finally went away after a month!
