I'm not a fan of spending a lot, so gap on sale, old navy, target and H&M are my faves. Carters has lots of cute stuff but you have to try a little harder to find the good stuff. We have a running joke from my in-laws about F loving stripes - apparently I buy a LOT of stripes when avoiding the "boy themed" clothing

He wears lots of simple tees with cute slogans like one of my faves right now "nothing but good vibes", striped tees and sweaters, solid tees, plaid button ups, love gap for fitted jeans, hooded color block shirts, etc

i never got trucks/monsters/dinosaurs until DS was a toddler and i used those pictures to coax him to get dressed and not stay in pjs all day. up until almost 2, i loved Gap, old navy, childrens place, etc. and it was easy to find non-stereotypical boy stuff. we definitely had some stripes. i love polo shirts in the summer and nice sweaters in the winter. as for pants, it has been a losing battle. he hates wearing jeans/cords, so even with his nicest winter sweaters, they are usually paired with decent looking sweatpants - but when he was a baby and 1 yo, i could get jeans on him no problem

We shop Target and H&M.
His basic uniform is leggings, plain t-shirt, with a button up over it. We have some fun graphic t's too. I have a soft spot for shoes so I made sure to get him some fun colored shoes and keep his wardrobe to basic colors and prints.

I go to diapers.com and search there. They have all kinds of brands, from Carters to higher end like Vince or Splendid.

This all sounds great! DS is 8 weeks and I feel like the OP - if I see one more basketball on a onesie .... I'm writing down some of these good options!

I love stripes as well. My guy is always comfy too, I don't like jeans on kids and ds doesn't like them at all.

I get most everything from gap, and then some stuff from a children's boutique in town. Gap has some cute baby patterns sometimes, like stripes, bikes, glasses, etc that aren't super "baby boy!!"

I liked carter's when he was little because their onesies fit him best, but I had to work to find things without lame sayings. Now I like old navy, joe fresh, h&m, gap. I dress him (14mo) a lot more casual than I expected. He only wears jeans on special occasions. Also I'm not sure if this is a boy thing but we have gotten so many gifts and hand me downs of things with hoods and I hate them. They were so annoying when he was small and mostly laying around, and even now I'd have to change him to nap.

For little boys I like J&J, mini Boden and jacadi.

I buy a lot of Gymboree lately. I hate sports and trucks themed stuff and refuse to buy it. I did get one shirt with a dinosaur. Gymboree has a lot of plaid button downs, cute sweaters, etc. boys clothes are always tougher no matter where you go. You have less selection and more junk to wade through.

Mini Boden, smocked clothes, and some baby gap and Janie & Jack to fill in the gaps.

For a baby boy, I like to keep it simple. Sleepers, plain or striped onsies and cute, comfy pants. Carter's you do have to really look to find the stuff that doesn't have sayings or pictures of animals on it. I also like to shop at Target, H&M, & Old Navy.

Dressing a toddler boy has been so much more fun (compared to baby stage). Love to do skinny jeans, high top sneakers and a cute shirt. I like to pair graphic tees under flannel and plaid shirts. Also did more skinny fit joggers this winter for my son, so he could move easily around the park.

I find dressing a boy in the fall/winter to be much more fun. So many more options. It's so dang hot here that summer is just shorts and a tank top with natives.

I avoided the trucks/dinos/sayings for the most part... until recently. He really loves trucks and dinos so I find myself buying shirts with these on them. He really likes it and sometimes a dino tshirt means he is more willing to get dressed in the morning.

We avoid characters, cheesy slogans, and anything with a professional sports theme.

He wears a lot of khakis and jeans, and lots of solid, striped or plaid tshirts and button-down collared shirts. (Well, plaid does not apply to tshirts.). We also buy some printed tshirts, but we are selective about the design. (We have dinosaurs, airplanes, and animal paw prints in the current rotation.)

Since we also have a toddler who is obsessed with fire trucks, trains and construction vehicles, we have a LOT of printed pajamas in those themes!

Historically we have mostly shopped at Baby Gap and Old Navy due to proximity. Plus a bunch of Carters stuff since they're everywhere. But my son is not really lanky enough for their cuts. All the pants are waaaaaaay too long because I have to go up so many sizes to fit in the waist. So I need to start branching out.

We have some stuff from target and Carters too.

We do lots of button downs, sweatshirts, slim fit sweats, leggings, jeans, etc. it's not hard to find basics for boys that aren't covered in graphics etc

I love pants for infant boys from Hanna Andersson! It's a slimmer fit without being too tight and so so soft!

@pinkcupcake: Both! You can go back and forth! Hipster for day to day, Prince George for special occasions!

We usually do a lot of bright colors, stripes. Button Down shirts and bright jeans.
I like gap, h&m, Zara, George, f&f.

All of T's clothes are hand me downs from a girlfriend, and we do a lot of zip up sleepers. Just....easy.

Mostly Carter's, H&M and Target. I like cheap!

For his first year I mainly stuck to Carters but bought the 5-pk onesies in solid colors or stripes and their stretchy jeans. (LOVE!) I diy'd some cute onesies for him... (the deer one I've done in every size now!)
