Music, TV, white noise machine or nothing?
The DH likes to turn on the TVs and leave it on. I'm starting to get annoyed by it.
He always needs something on either tv, movie or music.

Nada. Hubby likes the tv on, but he knows I can't sleep with noise playing in the background so he knows to turn it off when we get slide down to sleep.

My husband is the same way! He hates silence. The TV is always on and it drives bonkers!

Lethal Weapon. DH keeps trying to point out things that make the movies great but I'm not interested AT ALL. I hate cop movies. This isn't for me.

I'm just like your man. I always, always have the tv on. I grew up in a very loud family so I feel weird when it's quiet.

Since DH has been home we always have HGTV on in the background. He's going back to work Monday. I will miss him, but not HGTV. I don't dislike it, I just dislike it constantly.

I'm the same way! I will be on my computer and turn something on netflix just for the noise. I half pay attention. Or else I turn on pandora. But I always need SOMETHING going on.

I grew up in a big, noisy family and LOVE the quiet! TV and radio are just obnoxious, especially now that I work from home. I like silence when I work and when I sleep.

During the work day I listen to Pandora or Spotify all day, but when I am ready to go to sleep it needs to be quiet! At home I usually have the TV on even if I'm ready just as background noise.

I always have to have some kind of noise. Even when I was in college and studying. I needed noise or else I'd get distracted. It couldn't be tv or I'd end up watching, and it couldn't be songs with lyrics or I'd sing along. So I listened to movie soundtracks, like Harry Potter, Last of the Mohicans, The Gladiator. Perfect study music!
ETA: At night, hubs and I both need white noise, so we usually run a fan. If we're somewhere where we don't have a fan (like a hotel or something) I'll run my white noise app on my phone.
