I pay over $100 for my jeans because nothing makes a girl feel confident and sexy as the perfect pair of jeans!!
I also think a high quality boot is a must, you have to be comfortable and know they'll last.
Otherwise I'm very frugal.

I invest in purses and wallets. Sometimes shoes/boots, depending on the style and how trendy or classic they are. Also, haircuts!

A great pair if jeans is worth it, and I agree with the shoes- not trendy ones but a nice pair of boots and stuff. I have one Cole haan bag that I love too. Otherwise I'm pretty cheap. But really none are what I would call investments.

Cardigans are my weakness. I wear one every day though, so its worth splurging on some nice ones.
And a few jewelry basics...awesome hoops and diamond studs.

@MerryC: what are you favorite brands? I love cardigans. I have one I got from Ann Taylor and I go back every year hoping they sell them again.

nothing! haha... i'm SO cheap. i shop target, old navy, or new york and company for just about everything i wear (pre-preg, that is). even then, i usually only buy things on sale. hubs thinks i'm ridiculous.

Anything I wear often is something I don't mind spending money on. Jeans, boots, a favorite sweater, a nice watch (I got a lovely Bulova for my birthday a few years ago--i wear a watch every single day), classic jewelry, a stellar cocktail dress that works for a nice dinner out, a solid purse, bras...I just kinda like nice things in general, so I buy fewer items overall. As long as it doesn't just sit in my closet, it's OK by me!

@Coco Bee: my favorites are from j.jill and LLBean Signature. They are both cashmere blend and it makes a big difference!

Pretty much everything (clothes, shoes, bags..)! I'm a firm believer of quality. I have $250+ designer jeans that are 6+ years old, fit well and have many many more years of life in them!

Bags, jeans, shoes I'll wear regularly (like all day shoes, not date night shoes)

Sad, I don't invest in much really. I'm a sale shopper all the way! I do love purses, and I have an LV and Gucci which were both gifted. So I don't really get new ones!

Underwear and accessories (shoes, purses etc). Underwear because I have a huge chest, so I need well built quality bras and those cost $$$. Accessories because I find that the higher end brands are more comfortable and hold up better.

Purses/wallets and jeans. Everything else is super cheap. I'm pretty sad cause my collection of jeans is around 10 years old now and need replacing soon and I'm a lot more cautious of cost now that we have a house and lots of expenses vs 10 years ago when I was living with my parents and just saving a ton so it was easy to spend $150+/pair. Luckily I amassed a good enough collection of bags though and don't see a need to buy any for a LONG time.

@chopsuey119: I'm saving my pennies to get a pair of designer jeans once I lose an extra 20 lbs! It will be my reward to myself

Shoes, makeup, jeans, expensive hair products/cuts/colors. That is about it! I usually buy $30 purses.....lol

Shoes, bags, classic clothes that I will wear all the time and cosmetics.

Jeans and shoes. I have a pair of designer jeans that I've worn for over 10 years now. There's a big whole on the knee area but I still can wear them.

Purses, jeans, sunglasses and make-up! And coffee I guess, I only buy Starbucks K-cups.

A coat is a must for me, plus a high quality leather bag. I use them for many seasons, updating the gloves/hat/scarf so they always look fresh.
I also invest in jewelry. I have some disposable pieces, but most of my stuff is designer. Nothing elevates an outfit like a well chosen, tasteful piece of jewelry.

Just about everything. I am am a firm believer in quality over quantity. I'll save for months to buy something of good quality rather than buy something now that I know will fall apart. But I also don't dress trendy, and am sometimes jealous of those ladies who are. I wear the same Mikimoto pearls every day and the same Rolex watch. I wear the same shoes and boots, designer jeans and purses over and over. When I see a girl who accessorizes really well, even though it might be stuff from Target, I wish I would let myself buy those kinds of things. I might have classic items that I can wear for years, but I feel so much less exciting than those people who switch it up more often.

I'd say Makeup. But I haven't bought anything new in over two years. I never spend much on pants (jeans included) because my legs rub that it actually ruins all my pants.
So I'd say boots. But I rarely spend money simply because I don't have money to spend.

The only thing I pay a lot for are winter boots. Living where I do I need a good pair of water/weatherproof winter boots. And even then I wait to find them on sale wicked cheap on sites like 6pm.com. And a good winter coat.
