The others have pretty much covered it. I have to say that I enjoy my son so much more now that he is 3.5 and not a baby. He can tell me what's wrong, what he wants and doesn't want. He's really funny! Chatting with him is really fun. Watching him learn is amazing. He surprises me daily with his vocabulary. He says "I love you." I love watching his personality shine. You'll do great

LO will be 3 in May. Tantrums are hard but there is SO MUCH GOOD.

He is HILARIOUS. Talks up a storm and uses new words every single day. Cuddles and gives love so freely. Is the sweetest big brother 90% of the time. His imagination is developing and is so much fun. Is showing empathy for friends and animals. Mimics everything. Still needs mama and dada!

Even the tantrums, if you think about what causes it, you have to love it. Toddlers have so many emotions and while that causes tantrums and that is tough... it is also so much fun to witness. They are becoming little people!

Ok, had to chime back in with how much sweetness comes with toddler hood. Since birth I have sang "You are my sunshine," to my son , and he just sang it along with me tonight ! I literally felt like my heart would burst. There are many good things ahead for you as you approach the toddler years , enjoy .

Even with super hard days and tantrums and all that, I would take a 2 year old over a newborn ANY DAY. It is so fun and rewarding to watch them learn and grow - and love you so much!

Oh there is so much to love, I am amazed and amused constantly by all of DD1's toddler actions and reasoning! She is so sweet and fun yet mischievous and sassy, full of surprises everyday. There is never a dull moment these days. I say that in the sincerest way possible. The fun days make me forget the hard moments instantly. I am enjoying and loving the toddler years more than I could have ever imagined. I always thought the newborn memories would be the sweetest since DD1 was such a calm, sweet, and overall easy baby. I remember holding her in the first few weeks and tearing up because she would never be this small again. Time was moving just too quickly, I felt like I didn't have enough time to take it all in. So I took tons of sleepy newborn pictures. As it turns out, truly the best is yet to be. The toddler years will probably be my favorite. Yes, there are hard days but it's not a big deal compared to all of the fun and adorable things she does or say in her sweet, toddler voice. She says the sweetest things, gives us hugs all the time, laughs, sings, and dances. Toddlers are so much fun!

Here are some funny or sweet things she said this week:

She was watching me put on eye makeup and said "wow mommy, you do your eyes so pretty. Do my eyes too please! I wuv it."

I can't eat anymore, I chewing my food." as she pretends to chew to avoid eating.

    Me: You are so cute!
DD1: No I not cute. Babies are cute. I so beautiful, I a big girl.
Me: (laughing) okay yes you are beautiful

This was earlier today after DH left to go back to work after lunch.
"Bye daddy, have fun at work. I will miss you."

There's just so much. I need to record them a quotable app.

I love having a toddler. Yes, it is extremely challenging at times, but the fact that she can now communicate with me is beyond amazing. I love that we can have conversations, she can tell me about her day and the things that she enjoys. I love that she is funny and silly and weird. I think the best part is watching her grow. I see her learn new words almost every day and then she uses them correctly. She is learning how to count, how to identify numbers and letters, how to cook, etc. It's honestly a new adventure everyday. I mean, the best thing ever has happened since she has become a toddler, and that is her telling me she loves me. I can't think of anything more magical than having your child tell you they love you. Ahhh, love this stage so much!

DS didn't communicate as well as some people's toddlers apparently do, which is still causing a lot of frustration on both sides in our house. But I love that he can help. Seeing him run off and put his clothes away (in the right spot) still amazes me. I also love the crazy things that he will do/agree to. The other night we told him if he didn't go run around he'd have to go to bed. So he happily ran up and down our living area giggling for a while and wore himself out.
